Who is your service provider and which location?
Also do you mind sharing a screen shot of it?

Cheers!

In bangalore this toggle was available for vodafone users but not for Airtel. I am using Airtel and for me it was only to enable or disable of LTE, 2G/3G selection was not available. After upgrading to 8.3 all options are available.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Even i had 2G/3G & LTE option in 8.2 version on my IPhone 5C.

Mine is Vodafone 3G pack, Mumbai circle. I am not at all happy with 3G signal at home and office I switch to 2G mode and keep wifi on at both the places. 3G is on only when travelling.

That would be because you would have upgraded to a 4G SIM. I too didn't get to switch between 2/3/4G when on Airtel. Now I've a Vodafone 3G SIM and I get the option.

Here you go sir, the screenshots. Looking at the later posts, looks like it is carrier/sim dependant

Yeah!!!! I also have this Airtel LTE sim, this is an addition along with 8.3 update and a very good one at that, esp for those offroad and bike trips.

EDIT: i never checked in 8.2 so not sure if it was there.

Re: The iPhone Thread

I think it is dependent on network operator and the type of sim card also. I have had 2G/3G selection option in 8.2 when in India, and on some networks abroad with their local sim, I've had 3G/4G switches (2G option was not there at all) which could be turned on as required in the same 8.2. All this was observed on the same version of OS. Many options in the settings appear if available only (as per network, sim, etc.) in iOS.

Yes it is operator specific. When iOS 8 was introduced the option disappeared for me on airtel but when I tried with a colleague's Vodafone, it reappeared.

So that should be the case for me as well, mine is also Airtel and hence couldn't see a toggle for 2G yet.
Moreover I had received an email from my office IT department asking us not to upgrade to iOS 8.3 since few of our business applications are not yet compatible with this latest versions and have to wait for a week or so.

Cheers!

The major change is the music app. I'm hoping for more functionality, equaliser and stuff. Using 3rd party music players is very complicated on the iPhone. Poweramp on android spoiled me

Been having issues with the team bhp app today. I guess 8.3 messed up something in it. Keyboard wasn't coming up, was getting no response when clicking a topic etc
