Try Aurbindo Market. There is a shop there. My Brother in law got the screen on his 4s replaced from them. good job done and no issues.

I took my iPhone swimming with me. Poor guy died. There was an HTC Desire gifted by some one lying at home unused. So saved some money and shifted to Android.

This is the right setting. "Limit Ad Tracking" when enabled, blocks ad tracking using "Advertising Identifier" that Apple has provided to advertisers to anonymously track a specific user.

Apple has deliberately made this confusing to prevent changing the default setting.

Thanks a lot for confirming.
Yes, it is indeed very odd that Apple kept the default setting like that!

Yay! iOS 8 announced! Looking forward to this version!
  • Interactive notifications - quickly respond actively to mails, messages, Facebook notifications, etc.
  • Mail enhancements - gestures for actions
  • Enhancements to App Switcher - includes frequent contacts now
  • Spotlight integrated with web search
  • Predictive text for the keyboard - "Quicktype"
  • "Continuity" - allows you to receive and make calls from your mac through your iPhone! (This is one killer feature)
  • Group messaging (finally!)
  • Photos has some great new features
  • Custom keyboards!

The big question, that begs to be asked, is whether we will also need to upgrade the hardware (read get the new version) to "experience" what we dreamed of.

iPhone 5 missed a few features which were available only with 5S on iOS7. I forgot the details, but will pull it up (i guess it was the LTE band or something of that sort). I had the 5 & hence was disappointed when the 5S was announced to be making most of iOS7 on some of the features I was really looking forward to.

In a way, at the event no hardware upgrades were talked about. Even the new Metal kit was developed based on A7 chip. I guess iphone 6 might come out with the A7 chip itself. Not a single rumor or spy pics have come out on the A8, for A7 this was not the case. If I remember correct, the only features 5 missed in 7 were in terms of the camera? That was due the lack of hardware. I guess 5s will get most of the features in 8 unless they have something else designed for the new hardware. May be this time even 5s will not get a few features as 6 may get a new camera etc. with apple nothing is known until the very last minute.

The below might be accessible by all the devices they mentioned

1. New messages obviously
2. NC changes
3. Camera exposure and lighting settings
4. Siri
5. Healthkit

The only feature 5 might miss may be the tilt shift video.

I upgraded from 5 to 5s, I wish I will not burn my pockets moving to 6 from 5s. But we will definitely miss the I watch related features which will be only available in the 6.

The reply to message feature on any screen has been directly picked up from BB10 OS.

Re: The iPhone Thread

Has anyone in Mumbai give their intially manufactured iphone5 for the free power button replacement program that apple is doing as worldwide recall? I called maple they said they will take 3-4 days to repair it and will not provide a loaner iPhone. However apple website claims a loaner phone will be given.

My battery life has dramatically reduced since the phone is now nearly 2 years old, any idea how much it will cost to replace the internal battery from apple service center?

I did got replaced this recently but in Canada . They kept my phone for around 2 weeks and gave me a new one . I will suggest you not to discuss anything of battery , just give them phone for button repairs , chances are you will get a new phone .

Probably not yet , I went back to ios 7 & Mavericks in less than 24 hours after upgrading using my developer account . There are far too many bugs , I seriously doubt how did they managed live presentations .

Re: The iPhone Thread

^^ arent bugs expected out of beta's ??

I think what he meant was the features showcased at WWDC that the users will get in the final release of IOS 8.

I personally am not impressed by those new so called "features" in IOS8. Most of them have already been experienced one way or the other. Only thing that has impressed me is Continuity, but again only for users who has multiple Apple devices (Mac+iPhone+iPad).
