Total Video Converter, I use it all the time to change formats of video files as well as audio files. Works beautifully for me. :thumbs up
iOS 4.1 has really taken care of the slowness on iphone 3G. I have been using iphone 3G with iOS 4 and hell i was disappointed with the performance. However, with 4.1 that slowness has disappeared and the phones got back to the smoothness we all love !! (this is ofcourse without jailbreaking 4.1) !
I would recommend all non-jailbroken iphone 3G users to upgrade to 4.1 !!

Yup, but no jailbreak has been released yet. Dev team is still working on it and no release date has been confirmed for it.
Guys updated my 3G (not jailbroken) to 4.1 through iTunes and the speed of the phone has dramatically improved. No more crashing of App store after an app download! Browser speed is good too. Looks like good news for 3G users.
Guys, Can you guide me on the right cost of iPhone 3GS 32GB White used for about a year. minor scratches at back. Thanks.
Just got an officially unlocked Iphone 4 16 gb from HK today for my dad. Fantastic phone. A huge improvement over the 3gs in terms of look and feel.
Upgraded to 4.1 without any issue... no jailbreak required.

Waiting for the case to arrive from the US before I give it a workout. What I posted above were my initial impressions. I will come back with a few more observations after I begin using the phone to the max. |
The case in hand, I proceeded to update the firmware to v4.1 and install the phone in it. With my iP4 32GB now safely ensconced in the Otter Box Defender my day 1 of usage report is as follows:
No big difference other than the improvement in the display. My 3GS was on 4.0.1 which explains the lack of a 'gee whiz!' reaction. Need to use the camera to check photographic improvements.
Battery life is definitely better - the iP4 reads 75% after 1 day of moderate usage compared with the 50-55% that the 3GS showed at the end of a work day.
The Otter Box Defender (also used with my BB 9700) is a great case, you wont get anything better in terms of form or function if all you seek is protection for your iPhone.

Bhpians with iPhone 3G, need your feedback on how good or bad is MS Exchange email access on iPhone 3G? |
MS Exchange EMail access is absoutely smooth on the 3G. Specially now after the mailbox improvements in iOS 4.0 and 4.1.

Abhi, could you please tell us how much you paid for it? I am planning to pick one up from there in November.
Also, is it available off the shelf at the Apple Stores / Electronics retail outlets? Or did you have to pre-order?

Hi AbhiJ, how much did you pay for it? Was it available off the shelf? Thanks.
Even though no one asked me, here goes:
Cost of iPhone 4 when ordered online at Apple Singapore site is S$ 888. When converted, it is around Rs. 30,548.

This is too tempting, only issue is you need someone in Singapore to ship it to right? and they require Sigapore credit card. :Frustrati
Buying in Hong kong is the cheapest option as those guys have no taxes.
Next best is Singapore.
Of course in either case, you need to know someone who is living there so they can order and either bring it themselves or send it through someone else.
Here I am with a brand new awesome iPhone 4 but can't use the phone part of it without SIM. I am going to order a SIM cutter, probably from
here and shall wait for 2 weeks for it to arrive. I already tried to manually cut the SIM so it fits but have not been successful.
@srikat,
SIM cutter is also available on ebay India.
