Re: The computer mouse thread

I'm currently using a Razer Deathadder Elite Gaming mouse V1 2016 edition. If anyone of you is looking for a mouse for Casual browsing + Gaming with a Slightly bigger palm, This is the mouse for you.

Re: The computer mouse thread

Can someone help me how to disable the side buttons in a Bluetooth mouse? It is configured for Back and Forward and I often accidentally hit the back button with my thumb as the button sits in the thumb contour. With my renewed interest in writing, I have started using this mouse but already lost few posts in Team-BHP

If it helps, my laptop is Dell with Windows 10 running Mouse is HP Travel Bluetooth mouse.

I tried the usual settings in Windows 10 but there is no setting for side buttons. I tried google and it has thrown up mixed results and not straightforward. I installed Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard application thinking it is for Windows 10 but it seems only for Microsoft mouse and keyboard.

Re: The computer mouse thread

I'm assuming most of the mouse, these days, have rechargeable 'non removing' type of batteries. If not, this mouse should be unique. It's the Philips SPK7413S, and works well. No hassle of batteries. (Being my first non-apple mouse I was scratching my head on how to use it. It has this secret compartment where the receiver is hidden. That unit goes into my laptop. Neat isn't it!)

Re: The computer mouse thread

Does anybody here have any experience with vertical mice? I am having shoulder pain for the last few months (attributed to impingement) and am trying to eliminate all possible sources of RSI.

Chanced upon this (relatively) cheap vertical mouse from Logitech. I've never spent more than a thousand bucks on a mouse, so although this is one of the cheaper Logitech mice available, it still feels like a substantial amount.

Any opinions?

Re: The computer mouse thread

Have two mi wireless mouse that I purchased, down with the same problem. Battery getting exhausted in 4-6 hours. Yes hours. Luckily was using rechargeable AA batteries, but was a hassle.

Got this one, a Zook Blade rechargeable (inbuilt) mouse for 380/-. Looks like a party on wheels with RBG Led's. Fortunately, that can be turned off to preserve sanity. 3 days since fully charged, going fine!

Re: The computer mouse thread

Purchased this iClever Mouse during the Freedom Sale at ₹1,485 - feels like a great buy at the price paid. It is on par with some of the more expensive mice from Logitech in terms of the features and the silent clicks.

Supports both Bluetooth as well as comes with a 2.4G Dongle. Can be paired with 3 devices at a time with a button to toggle between the three devices.
Mouse is rechargeable and comes with a USB Type C Cable included in the box.

Here is a short review of the Mouse:

Re: The computer mouse thread

Quest for a new Bluetooth mouse has begun, after my Logitech M585 has started throwing tantrums. Any suggestions for a rugged, durable Bluetooth mouse?

Considering a mouse lasts more than a PC, its a good idea to invest a little more $ on your purchase. If I was in your shoes, I will get Razer Orochi V2 if gaming or Logitech Mx Anywhere 3 for productivity. You can use lithium batteries to make the mouse lighter as well. Unfortunately the best deals are off now. During the peak sale Razer used to cost 3.5 and Logitech 4.9.

Thank you. Indeed, I like the idea of a good mouse that lasts LONG, but that hope was shattered by my Logitech M585 that behaved nicely only for a couple of years.

So I was not in the mood to go for another Logitech, and had shortlisted the Razer basilisk (wireless ultimate with optical mouse switches , but my mind did not allow me to be proceed, so I reluctantly revised my option to a basilisk wired).

And then I made a mistake of asking my son what he’s doing with the Razer Viper Mini (again with optical mouse switches ) that he had taken from me last year (usually kids give some amazing emotional stories to take away good things from their parents), and it was gathering dust. So the Razer has arrived back at my desk.

My mind deferred my Basilisk dreams for now, and allowed me to pamper myself with a new Razer mousepad that arrived yesterday. So that’s my sad happy ending of the mouse quest.

But, I must admit that this one is “like no other”, very light and glides effortlessly, best ever mouse that I have had so far.

Great ! Meanwhile I am still using my 10 year old Razer mouse & mouse pad which I got as a gift

The mouse unfortunately developed double click problem after few yrs of use. However it has 17 buttons and I have mapped some other button to the faulty button in game as a fix.

The mouse pad is super premium and I feel Razer has spent more money on the packaging & cover than the real product itself

Re: The computer mouse thread

That’s a very organised setup. One of the reason why I had specifically chosen this particular model is that the mouse click switches have optical click actuators, which I interpreted as having much lower chances of failures (in contrast, with the traditional mouses that have mechanical click actuators that are expected to fail after certain usage).

Try this software called X-mouse button control. I've been using it for many years now and it works very well. I've configured multiple Bluetooth mice with it and it has worked with all of them flawlessly. I've configured my side buttons for Volume up/down so that I can use the mouse like a remote control sometimes.

I switched over to wireless ergonomic mice a few years ago. Here are the ones that I've tried so far:Of the two, the Havit mouse is more vertical and my preferred option. If you ask me, using a vertical ergonomic mouse is very beneficial, especially for your condition. I switched to such mice when I started experiencing wrist pain and it has worked wonders for me. Such mice are well worth the price.

Given that the HAVIT mouse seems to be out of circulation now, a close option is probably this: Logitech Lift Vertical Ergonomic Mouse.
For larger hands, try: Logitech MX Vertical

Re: The computer mouse thread

Hi everyone.

I need a wireless mouse for my laptop, which I use only for work, 3-4 hours a day. I need a mouse that lasts long and costs around Rs. 300 to 800.

Request you people to suggest a long-lasting economical wireless mouse.

How come? My last laptop worked fine for 10 years, the current one is around 4 years old. The mice on the other hand conk off much sooner. I have spent a max of $60 on a mouse and that is the one that lasted the least.
