So contrarywise I m not actually sure in the foreseeable future, that I will even consider a smart ring. Im enjoying the freedom from the digital task master far too much!

Excellent Shankar sir!

IMHO (and this is just an opinion) unless you have an existing health condition that you need to monitor, or you are trying to fine tune athletic performance, why do you need to track parameters continuously? Just because we can?

Again, IMHO, in an already too-connected, too-much-streaming-info/analysis world, this is another unnecessary gadget.

Fact is Yes I have an existing health condition.
But I don't want more stress by monitoring it constantly. I’d rather revel in the joy of the Art of Time in my mechanical and automatic watches.

Hi Amitoj, how has your experience been since this update?

Disappointing to say the least. The readings from the ring are very inconsistent and hardly of any use. The biggest flaw with Ultrahuman ring is that it does not incorporate data from other activities in Apple Health, except for duration. For example if I go for a walk and dont record it using the UtlraHuman app but do record it using Apple Watch and then sync it with Apple Health, the UH app will only read the duration of the activity and will not incorporate it into its metrics, even though it has full access to the Health app.

TL;DR I dont wear it anymore.

Am using the Samsung Galaxy Ring for over a month now. I have an Apple Watch 8 which I wanted to get rid off while sleeping. I tried both together for about a week. Yes, the numbers differ, but not by a great margin. For everything other than sleep tracking, I use the Apple watch. I don't mind the lack of accuracy and I don't think either of them are accurate. I just need to have a sense of what I am looking at.

BTW, I like the Energy score, Sleep score and Stress level features of Samsung Health although I don't know if they mean anything. lol:

Overall i am happy not having to wear a watch while sleeping.

Any comments about the Gabit ring? Need something less conspicuous than my current Apple Watch SE2 especially while sleeping.

Loathe to spend 28K++ on the Ringconn, Ultrahuman or Galaxy ones.

Not too worried about exercise tracking. Only needs accurate step counter and other vitals. Integration with Apple Health is preferred but not a showstopper.

I have been using the Gabit ring since 2 months now. Steps seem quite accurate but the sleep data seems weird. One night, the ring slipped off my finger and was under the blanket. I went about half the day without it and when I returned, the app connected and was actually showing updated heardbeats and that I was sleeping. So it seems sort of fake/random to me.

Have been using the Luna Ring for more than a year now. I can happily say that I have come back to my mechanical watches and don't see myself going back to a smart watch anytime soon.

As for my findings over the last 18 months with the ring:

1. Sleep: Very accurate and also catches my afternoon siestas very accurately. Sleep time, wake up time are 98% accurate.
2. HR : This is off by 3-5 BPM when compared with an Omron HEM 7600T.
3. Steps : Can be a hit or miss. Comparing data with a Galaxy Watch, Amazfit T-rex and Mi Band 4, this one is usually off by around 10%.
4. Battery : Easily lasts 4+ days (i wear it 24x7)
5. App & Data : All my data is available to the parent company, which is a concern. App needs to be running in the background for real time alerts. I have kept background usage off and sync only once every 3-4 days.
6. Weight and thickness : Around 5 grams, but a bit thicker than I would like it to be.

All in all, a very good replacement for smartwatches. I never used call / sms features on it anyway. I am now eyeing a Datejust to add to my watch collection.
