I bought Xbox One 5 years back, just to fulfill my childhood dream. But with job and a kid in life now, I don't get enough time to play. It takes easily 30 minutes just to turn on the console, decide on which game to play and they go through all the menus to start the next mission. If you are playing open world games like Far Cry, Witcher or RDR2, it would take almost a year before someone like me can jump to a new game.

So, the Xbox vs PlayStation debate is settled for me. Xbox might not have many exclusive games like PlayStation, but for a working man with kids, even Xbox catalogue is more than enough. Way more than enough. For a person like me, any of this is fine.

Having owned XBox 360 and now Xbox one for over a decade, I plan to switch to PS5.
Yet to decide on Slim/Pro though.

Majorly for exclusives such as GOW, Bloodborne, Unchartered, Last Of Us, Horizon Forbidden etc. It finally boils down to what you want to play. Even if you are a casual gamer. Please go through the exclusives and make a uniformed decision.

I used to play FPS a lot. So Halo was the single deciding factor to get Xbox earlier. Now I have almost stopped this genre.

After 2 mistakes I have learned my lesson. Don't just go by specifications but put emphasis on quality. Once the PS 5 Pro releases here, I will say goodbye to my Xbox journey. Also the reason I selected Digital Edition is because I tend to purchase games online when they are on sale and no hassle of storing the discs is just one of the perks.

I have finally sold my Series X. I will wait for sometime for the inflated PS5 Pro prices to come down a bit then will get it.

Those who are planning on to buy PS5 soon, I suggest do signup and buy games while the Black Friday sale is going on. There are some very good discounts on games and PS plus subscription. Sale ends Dec 2.
