Re: Nikon Z5 with Nikon Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR | Review

Nice summary AD for the Z5. I have never been to the Nikon world. But the way you have transitioned its perfect.

Mirrorless to me is something which I should be able to carry when I am on the road in my own car, or am travelling in a public transport. And I have seen it deliver to that very level without any loss in performance of images (No wild life snapping of course!)

I have a Sony A6000 with 50 and 35 mm primes. They delivered good, but I am not very happy with the basic body performance. So I dont find myself using it more often. And the biggest gripe has always been finding the best macro lens for a mirrorless body which one can carry easily. (My photographic needs!)

Finally decided to buy this 85mm f/1.8S, and loving it so far! A fantastic lens for sure. I got this for about ₹50k from Foto Circle in Bangalore, my trusted camera store.

I wrote a more detailed post on this lens in the EVIL cameras thread here: https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/gadge...ml#post5836436 (Mirrorless or EVIL Cameras)

But sharing a few sample images here too (all taken with this lens on my Nikon Z5 camera body).

85mm is perfect for my preferred car compositions:

At f/2.8:

Landscapes at 85mm:

Perfect lens for such travel photos too:

And finally, a perfect lens for such fun photography:

My attempts at Macro (although this is not a macro lens by any means), and notice the lovely smooth bokeh:

Absolutely loving this lens so far. Will do a lot more photography with this lens in my upcoming travels.
