This was the only reason I got my PS3.
LOL, same here. I told the Sony salesman i will buy the console only if he is able to source a copy of GT5P.

How is the Logitech wheel (the one with clutch), does it support the use of clutch with GT5.Any one using it?
The Logitech G25 is out of production i think. It has been replaced with the G27 (Rs.24.995). But the Driving Force GT (Rs.10,295) is the official wheel for Gran Turismo and works best with the game. Only drawback is that it doesn't have a clutch.

I don't like how the car handles with the controller. I can't get keep the steering stable.
By the way I cleared A,B&C classes and reached the S class.
Yup, GT5 works best with a 900deg steering. With the controller, its not possible to achieve the desired steering angle, which can affect your lap time by 2-4 secs (as compared to drving the same car with a steering).

But you shouldn't have any trouble completing the S class events with a controller.

Has any one drifted yet? I am not able to (I used BMW M3)
Try the Amuse S2000 Turbo, its very tail happy. Even the Audi R8 is good for drifting.

Rs, 25,000 for G27? I think its selling for $300.
Will it attract custom duty if I get it from abroad?

Wow, $300 is almost hafl the price. It will be a bargain if you can bring it here at that price.

Soo not believeing the release date. Going by past experience, this game will never come out. Motion to change the game name to "Gran Turismo 5 Forever"

PS4 will be released before GT5...and PS4 won't be backwards compatible

I will be happy if GT5 comes out by the end of next year. The November release date is a joke IMO.

So its on schedule. Can anyone outline whats the difference between the prologue and this current version? Is it more tracks and more car options or is there something else as well?

I have the prolouge and couldnt complete a few tracks in C segment ( especially those races where you can push up the speeds for Mini Coopers) forget about moving up to B and A

Don't quite know all the details yet but this complete version is the real McCoy. Its got over 1000 cars with damage and around 20 tracks.

Will post again once I know. This takes me back to 2005 when I got the PS2 just for GT4. GT5 is the only reason I am looking at PS3.

edit: I am getting confused now, some sites are saying shipping starts before Christmas 2010. So dunno whom to believe?

The wheel info is not available on Logitech India site. Have your tried it? I am keen on trying a steering wheel for GT5, have never experienced gaming using a wheel ever.

GT5 further delayed, but people are speculating that it will be released before 2011.

Mercedes has a Gran Turismo 5 "SLS AMG Simulator" at the Autocar Performance Show in Mumbai, but unfortunately it was closed when i went there yesterday :(

Some samples in the Photo mode

Gran Turismo 5 has a photo mode that is quite amazing. Here are a couple of samples and a link to the GT forum (there are more of these awesome pictures on other pages too).
