EP-630 or any other good earphones?

Is EP-630 available in Delhi/NCR.
If not, is there any good alternative to them that i can plug into my MP3 player?

Buying earphones froma specialist company is always a better choice. I believe the difference should be huge, otherwise no point changing the in-the-box 'phones.

In delhi one is able to buy Koss, Sennheiser and many more. Shortly (in 2 days) JBL will be launching in the NCR (since i see your location -Gurgaon MGF) with 3 models of headphones too.

. thanks for the info..I too wanted to check out the headphones available in the market..apart from Sennheiser..Good to know JBL is coming out with 3 headphones..what will be its likely pricing??

I've always liked Shure. Would highly recommend you to try them before making a final decision.

Yep. Another staunch Shure supporter here.

I've used the E3Cs (hijacked from me by my sister) and the E2Cs (I was left with my sister's E2Cs grrrrr...). Both are great. The E3C is better, but more costlier. I'm quite happy with the E2Cs now.

sennheiser hd400 is what i use. its cheap ($15-20online) and sound quality is quite good (though no comparison to the shure ones)

@hydra, i dont think the shure e3c are cheaper in US, it costs about $300 online from reputed stores, and a lot more plus tax at places like bestbuy etc. id say Rs 12k is a great deal.

If it's IEMs you're looking for, I'd suggest you try and listen to the following -
- Shure E2c and the recent SE210s have got great reviews
- Ultimate Ears super.fi 3 and 5 (the EBs are good too if you like the "thump")
- Sennheiser CX300 (I think, am not too sure about the model number)
Of these, the best VFM IEMs, to me, are the UE super.fi 3s - around $70 for audio (not audiophile though, I guess) bliss.
If it's clip-ons you're looking for - look no further than the Koss KSC75s. These cans are for $16 and they give some $75 cans a good run for their money. I've bought 4 already (3 as gifts) and have never faced a problem with any of them. Be careful about the clips though .. I lost one of the clips while on my bike.
Have you mentioned a budget ? Or usage ?

The sennheiser CX300 is basically the same thing as the Creative EP630 orther than a J-cable instead of Y-cable and a 90 degree connector instead of a straight on connector. Most Senn. products are over priced in India. Still considering they are available is a nice thing. In my days you had to beg relatives to carry them.

Check out vmoda earphones, they are getting lot of rave reviews these days.... The bass flex headphones are around $30-50 and looks like they ship internationally.

Hmm .. I have no idea about the pricing in India. I've always looked at US prices.
I don't know much about the EP630 either. Assuming the driver is the same, you now only need to look at the build quality of the driver's casing, the wires and accessories sold with both. If both are same or quite similar, then the EP630 would be a better buy assuming the prices you put down.
