Videocon is cheaper and more vfm compared to other brands ( I visited spar BG rd and was comparing prices) , any reviews on videocon fridges ? Any specific outlets in Bangalore that give good deals ?

The dealer was simply bluffing, there's no way he could have sold 10-11 pieces by then.

Its the 1st Frost free fridge model by LG with an in built PCB. Had some issues regarding the same while production hence, the delay. All issues have been sorted out and now its in mass production.

DVD Player????

I didnt see a thread dedicated to DVD Players, so putting it here.

Looks like my 7-year old DVD player bought from Singapore has gone kaput. It has put me in a lot of grief since last week or more as Bigflix DVD's play but, there is no picture just sound.

Planning to buy a new DVD player. Can someone suggest a reasonable good quality DVD player within a budget of Rs.4K that plays DVD's which are region related and all other basic qualities like play movies burnt from various sources.

Thanks in advance for your inputs

Yes my Philips DVD player plays any thing. I hacked it to make it Region 0 right after I bought it. Hack codes based on your model number are available online.

@Avi: 4K for just a DVD player IMO is on the higher side. Philips DVD PLayer should be cheaper. I picked up last year a 29" CRT TV, DVD Player & 5x1 basic home theatre speaker system as combo for 15,990 from Reliance Digital.

Thanks Ani. Can you tell me the model number of your DVD Player? Also, can you let me know the procedure to hack it ( offline via.email).

What do you reckon it will be priced? < Rs.3K?

We use at home. No issues so far. If it is possible, keep the gas cyclinder outside the bathroom. Also safe to have good ventilation for the room.

I do not remember the brand we use (Suraksha or so I guess). No problems so far. Only changing the battery cells for ignition is required once in 3-4 months.
