Re: The Home Appliance thread

We have a Kenwood Chef. Seems that Kenwood have withdrawn from India. Now I find that the base of the liquidizer is broken. How do I get it fixed. Any third party repairers. I guess I need another base.

We have to replace the recently bought Usha mixer grinder. It is only a few months old but the jars are of poor quality and leakage from seals messes up the whole area around the mixer. I need help in finding Rock solid mixer grinder which doesnot leak at all during during operation.

You will get unbranded good quality jars, if you look around.

Re: The Home Appliance thread

I am looking at some options for a microwave oven around 28L capacity, preferably with convection. I see multiple price ranges for a 28L Samsung itself. Any advices on brand / capacity or anything to watch out for? Looking for something that will last long.

Which is the best washer and dryer front loading machine?

My research suggests: https://www.amazon.in/Bosch-Washer-D...1215007&sr=8-1

If there is any better one please suggest. While I know drying in combo machines is never 100% but i would like something that gives max possible drying.

Saw an LG top of the line washer dryer at their showroom. If it was not that expensive, I would have bought one immediately.

The model is 21kg washer with 12kg dryer. It also has two independent washer tubs, one small of about 2 or 3L capacity and the other main.

This won't fit in the space I have allotted for the machine and it is also too large a capacity for my family needs.

Also, if you have the budget and space (can even be stacked vertically like @vid6639's post mentions), do consider buying a separate dryer (IMHO separate units for a regular washer dryer with spin dry and a 100% dryer unit will be a better choice than these combos).

General consensus is to avoid these combos unless there is no practical alternative - I had the same query posted a few pages back. See the responses to it:

From a quick glance at Amazon, there does seem to be pretty mixed reviews generally:

We have a new office and for same need to buy a small refrigerator max 100ltrs, a coffee / tea machine, a microwave. We have planned to keep the microwave on top of refrigerator and the coffee cum tea machine beside refrigerator. I need help in which brand offers best product to suit our requirements. The coffee machine should be able to dispense hot water, tea and coffee. The coffee machine must be able to make good coffee and tea. If the coffee machine also can dispense cold water it will be bonus as will save on water dispenser space.

Looking to buy a set of high quality durable LED string lights to decorate my house. These should last for at least a few years. Any tips please?

Mom got these curtain lights from Amazon, (Rs. 1000 per set) it's good but you will need two sets as it isn't dense enough. These days everything is chinese, so just go for these!
