Been practicing some freestyle flying - here's a video recording from my FPV Goggles, the recording has lesser quality than what I see live, in the Goggles. The action cam was not filming since it was just a practice session.

I think DJI users get so comfortable flying with all sorts of asisst, like Altitude hold, position hold, and self levelling, that they never attempt to fly in acro/sports modes, if the drone supports full manual flying without any assist. It is hard to do it in LoS flying but you shouldn't miss the fun of acro flying if there's an FPV system.

Re: The Drones Thread - Reviews, Tips, Advice

Took a tumble today while practicing low-altitude FPV maneuvers in some tight spaces. Then the post-crash jitters kicked in - the fear of making the same mistake again. But worrying about it wouldn't help. So, I strapped back in, took a deep breath, and sent it for a full 6 minutes straight!

It was thrilling! Stayed clean throughout, did some flips too.

Re: The Drones Thread - Reviews, Tips, Advice

Ripped through the skies above Varkala Beach today. Battled some nerves, but so glad I went for it!

At one point, I flew over a kilometer away through the beachline, and the quad lost radio contact and it triggered RX failsafe. During another long-range straight flight, I had to fly blind for a couple of seconds when the FPV feed died. The video feed was restored just when I was about to flick the switch to GPS Rescue, so turned around gracefully and continued the flight.

Here's the footage – hope you enjoy it!

Can DJI users give this a try?

Any references to DJI service in Bangalore? The gimbal in my Mavic Mini is stuck and I am looking to get it fixed.

Any trusted DJI repair shops in Bangalore.
Have an issue with one of the motor/props on my Mini 2 SE which is creating irregular vibrations. I can visually see one of the motor is not sitting abnormally vs the other 3.

Since it is the motor, which should be easily accessible, why don't you try to repair it yourself? There are a few videos in YouTube.

One of the motors of my 5-inch freestyle quad had picked up some debris after a crash - I opened up the motor by separating out the motor bell from the stator and removed the dirt.

Re: The Drones Thread - Reviews, Tips, Advice

Hi fellow BHP-ians, last year my Mini 2 fell into a waterbody and left me very sad, but I managed to get it repaired at Kolkata. Due to this incident, I was left shaky and had not been using my drone at all for more than a year. Recently a need arose from workplace, to shoot a corporate video of our own organisation, hence pulled out the Mini2 once again from its hiding. After this, I got enthusiastic once again like earlier days, and went on a small video shoot outside of Ahmedabad about a couple of weeks back. Although I expected the light to be a little dimmer, expecting sunset but Ahmedabad summer days are very long.
Anyways, that evening I made a small but nice footage of a bird sanctuary on Thol lake, although being summers, there were not enough birds and water even. I hope you guys like it.

Took the Air 2s to a recent road trip to Rishikesh. Was a bit nerve wracking but flying there is absolutely amazing given the blue water and the general cool vibe of the place. Sharing the vid i got.

Re: The Drones Thread - Reviews, Tips, Advice

I'm planning to go to Bali next month. I have booked Batik airlines flight with layover at Malaysia.

I do not have any check-in baggage. Can I carry my DJI Mini 2 with my carry-on luggage?

Has anyone done this before?

Friend did this with an Air2s. Bali via Singapore from Delhi. Had no issues at all.

Keep the controller and battries in the cabin luggage. Drone in checkin luggage (can detach propellors, not sure what it does but people told that it avoids hassels if the bag is scanned). So maybe a small checkin with some clothes and drone would help. They also carried the registeration papers from what i remember, so that they face no issues while coming back.

Bali is amazing, not too many drone restrictions. You'll live the shots you'll get of the treks, beaches and the iconic swings etc.
