40 inch LCD Television
(
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/gadgets-computers-software/21367-40-inch-lcd-television.html)
I am contemplating buying a 40 or 40+ inch LCD television and iam researching from last couple of weeks and intend to buy after the budget hoping there would be some kind of reduction to existing prices.
I am impressed with Samsung as a brand but find LG's size and feature list impressive.
Found Sharp quite decent but pricing was almost in same lines and no brand value ( atleast in India).
Sony Bravia series, again a good one, but do not know if its VFM
Would appreciate users and general comments on what one should look at before buying an LCD Television and which in general is a complete package in terms of excellent quality, price, long term usability ( plan to keep it alteast for 5-6 years) and good support.
Appreciate your help !!!
Well go for Sony Bravia, it has the best color reproduction..... That should be choice number 1.... Second in the list is Samsung Bourdeaux... this is the one I have. Second only to Sony, but costs almost the same. LG is a distant third (not considering Philips and Panasonic as they are slightly expensive)... Cheaper brands include Onida, Akai, videocon, Sansui... of these Onida is a JVC panel and is pretty decent for its price. Make sure that the tv's are HD ready, and have an HDMI or DVI input. Most TVs dont support 1080p, but would do 1080i and 720p.
