Re: The TV Thread - LCD, LED etc.

Round 2 of checking:

1. LG 32LK628BPTF (32")
2. Samsung T5500 (43")

was looking at the Samsung T4900 for it's Audio (40W/4ch), but the screen was relatively dull compared to the TV's with 20W /2ch output.

Round 3 check soon. Trying to find if there is a 43" equivalent to the above listed LG.

Re: The TV Thread - LCD, LED etc.

Guys, last query from my side on selection:

LG UM7780 (43")
vs
Samsung T5500 (43")

I thought the LG had better color cast (skin tones). 35W with Sub which are not in the Samsung (20W, 2ch audio)

TIA !

TV and other electronics are very much in demand currently, from the start of the pandemic, as content consumption has gone up, up and up. Don't expect great offers on hot products/brands. Haven't seen many great offers on big brands like Samsung, LG, Sony etc in the past year. The "offers" are reserved for MI, Realme, TCL etc. At the most, you can hope to get some credit/debit card discount offer

Between the two options you've mentioned, the LG surely packs a punch!

I am not a TV person, check prices on Croma and Tata Cliq as well. Tata Cliq is running HDFC bank discount.

Re: The TV Thread - LCD, LED etc.

Confusion reigns.

I also checked out the Sony FHD's today. Pretty good pic quality, even compared to their 4k models. However the lack of bluetooth is a deal breaker.

So yet to decide. Must have gone to the showrooms 9 times now. Hoping to close it soon.

Most showrooms are running credit card offers of additional discount. I do have a couple of options for a little more discount than amazon listed prices. But thanks for the note.

You will be a certified expert in TV buying by the end of this. Really appreciate your patience and will in thorough research before making a buying decision. A TV is definitely one of the most important pieces of tech one has in his house

My sister had a similar concern on one of her TVs when she bought a sound bar. A Bluetooth dongle worth few hundred bucks solved the issue.

The catch is - it has permanently blocked one of the USB ports on the TV. Maybe a point to consider if you like Sony above others and Bluetooth is the only dealbreaker.

Go for Sony. It's a treat to watch on daily basis. I bought mine in 2017 and the experience is just great. BT can be solved by adapter (Wonder why Sony doesn't give BT, though?)

What is the distance covered with clear audio ? What about pairing - is it done on the TV ? We need 20-25 feet of clear coverage.

20-25 feet, easy. But there shouldn't be walls. Mine is a 2017 Merlin BT (From Germany). New ones could be better. You might have to research a bit

Researching is on paper :| ... Would be good to hear from folks who are using ones that are available in India. Esp since I need to decide and close on the model quickly.

The one I am talking about is being used only for a range of a couple of feet. Hence won't be able to comment on the range you are looking for.

Re: The TV Thread - LCD, LED etc.

Hi! I'm looking to buy a new tv in the 65 inch range. I wouldn't want to experiment with any other companies other than OnePlus, Samsung and the LG.

Can anyone please help me understand if the Samsungs and the LGs are worth the extra 17-20k premium over OnePlus with respect to screen clarity, reliability and audio?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks.

More likely - the USB port is in an input port. Unless there is a BT USB dongle
compatible with Sony FHD TV's for this specific purpose, this method of having BT audio is not going to work.

I might have misquoted on an earlier post around one of the USB port getting blocked. As I said, this setup is at my sister's home so pardon me for not having all the correct details. But look at this.

If the Sony TV has an audio out jack, you should be able to hook this up.
