The TV Thread - LCD, LED etc.

Can someone suggest an 'internet enabled' TV (say 32-40 inches in size)?
The only requirement is that we should be able to surf on the TV. (in theory at least)
WiFi is preferred and a cost less than 40K is desirable.

Here is a cheap solution ( I have this setup right now )

Get a 40" PB20 Toshiba Full HD LCD TV with 3 yrs warranty, cost Rs 32,000 ( King's Electronics Navi Mumbai )
This one is made in India, if you are feeling patriotic

Get a Android TV box ( This has all the bells and whistles plus more ) for around Rs 5,500

You can play most of the games on the Android market, connect your HDD to this, play 1080p videos from the HDD, use wifi, Youtube you name it.

Get a wireless keyboard + mouse combo, Approx Rs 1000 for Logitech MK220.

Total 38,500. Don't think anything else can beat this for VFM.

^Thanks. I can get tax benefit on data/network enabled devices. That Toshiba should be data/ network enabled (e.g. can connect to network via LAN/ WiFi and I should be able to surf internet).

If that can happen then it is good enough (though may never use that functionality).

Apparently , none of the dealers i called have Pana 42UT50 in stock! All of them are expecting fresh stock only in Jan 2013!!Called up chroma,girias,aadishwar,pana store and reliance! Is there so much demand for this model or is it just false scarcity!Heights!

Finally one of the aadsihwar has 42UT50 . He is quoting 69990 with cash coupon,two 3D glasses and a wireless headset along with it. Is it a good price is it available lower elsewhere?

Considering the 50UT50 is (should be) 78K without any freebies, it is not really a 'good' price - despite low/no stocks. The wireless headphone is not a great value.

Called up the pana store in katriguppe and he is telling he will make it less that 65K .. Also got to know two 3D glasses are standard in all the stores. This fellow is pushing in a laser printer too. So will ask him to reduce the price further since i wont be needing the printer .If i get it to 60K will it be good enough?

Visited Croma to look at some appliances.

TV section overview:
Mostly Samsung and Sony. A few Panasonics, LGs, one Sharp and a couple of VU's (or some other brand).
Sales guy was pushing for Sony.
I was looking for a smart TV (should be able to access Internet theoretically at least) with either 32" or 40".
After seeing the options available, it seemed that the minimum budget required would be 45K+ for a 32" smart TV.
The Plasma's are very grainy (maybe signal problem?) and did not look good in any size.
I will try some other store when I have some time.

The price seem to be same with the coupon code. This is Full-HD, 3D non-smart TV.
Is picture quality of 2D content better in 3D TV than in similar spec 2D TV?
