Re: The Fitness Band / Smartwatch Thread

Anyone here ordered or experienced the Tech Burner Anarac Smart watch? Is it worth the hype?

Re: The Fitness Band / Smartwatch Thread

Looking for a low budget(5k to 6K) fitness tracker/band/ring, whatever that comes in that budget. Any suggestions please.
Also, has anyone use Noise products, how accurate are they

Re: The Fitness Band / Smartwatch Thread

Hi,

My apple watch broke completely few months ago, I am now out of grievance and looking to buy another smart watch. This time I do not want to give my business to Apple, hence started looking for another watch.

I am thinking of getting Garmin forerunner 165 https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/1055469 , here I am looking for your suggestions about Garmin and if you think of a better alternative.

Thanks

I have been using the Galaxy watch 7 LTE since 3 months and very happy with it. Standalone LTE calls, music, battery backup, health stats are all quite good.

I would suggest getting a proper smartwatch like Galaxy Watch 4 or something better than this. This feels more like a glorified fitness band rather than a true "smart"watch. This TechBurner guy has been under heavy scrutiny in other social media platforms for making exaggerated claims, removing reviews from YT, and other questionable things.

Re: The Fitness Band / Smartwatch Thread

Recently picked up an Apple Watch 10 to pair with my iPhone. Was in a bit of a dilemma, looking at Garmin Venu3 as well, but eventually stuck to the native ecosystem advantage. I was a bit skeptical about battery life, but given my general usage (no LTE, very few notifications, only activity tracking) I think it is doing pretty ok. The good part is that it is apparently amongst the most accurate in terms of the overall sensor performances, compared to other brands (including expensive Garmins) as per a youtube (Quantified Scientist) channel. In fact I got a good deal by exchanging old stuff (an old Galaxy 5 watch, an old Macbook pro, an old Samsung A52s) . I also let go of another old S21 Ultra at a Cashify store who were offering a better deal, bringing the net price of purchase to almost half of the approximately 49K INR. Very happy with the decision overall.

Re: The Fitness Band / Smartwatch Thread

My Fitbit Inspire HR has stopped charging, so I am now in the market for a replacement. It needs to be a band, since I wear a conventional watch on the other wrist.

Any suggestions on which is a good band?

Never mind. A spray of WD40 did the trick. Its charging again now.

Re: Which watch do you own?

Picked up a replacement for my Garmin Fenix 5x. Got a great deal for the Epix pro Gen 2 titanium. It's essentially a better-looking Fenix 8 sans the diving capabilities and for someone who's never gone underwater, does everything I will ever want a wrist-based device to do.

Good for you.
I have the same question too. Need a band for myself for the same reason as above and another one with a long battery life for my mom to track sleep and heart rates. I would have picked up the apple watch for her if not for the battery life.

The smart bands seem to have gone out of fashion. Apart from fitbit charge 6, I am not able to find anything from reputable brands.

Re: The Fitness Band / Smartwatch Thread

Anyone uses whoop band ? Looks like its good with tracking various activities. Only catch is the subscription fees you need to pay.

Wish Apple/Garmin could do something like this since we always have phone with us.

My friend does. A watch aficionado he prefers fitness bands instead of digital watches. Loves it. Got it from US at a much discounted price.
I had a look, seemed good. Surprisingly it doesn't show VO2 max values.

.
Has to be good. All Indian cricket team players use it. Question is - do you need that level of information?

I like that its just a strap. I don't need a display. Will weigh it in my mind for some time Sometimes when I give a thought some time, I find there is no need for it and save money
