Recently upgraded my rig

Gigabyte G31M-S2L (this is the A-star of mobos - not enough expandability space on the mobo - but is cheap, functional, reliable and has great after service support!)
E7300 (this has quite a good heatsink)
Corsair XMS2 2*2Gb 800 MHz (will be procuring)
Seagate 500Gb SATA 32Mb cache
Hitachi 320Gb SATA
Leadtek 7600GS Extreme (pre-OCd - planning to upgrade in 6 months)
17" Samsung CRT (something which i desperately want to replace)
Logitech PS2 keyboard/mouse400W VIP SMPS
Samsung combo drive + CDRW (i really don't know why I am NOT selling the CDRW off)

I don't use my rig for gaming.
Some details:

I want to hook up my rig with my AVR. Mainly for music. Right now, its connected via TOSLINK. In the near future, I could add a Blu-Ray drive.

check out the new ATI radeon 4550 /4530. not only do they offer HDMI out, but also 7.1 audio through HDMI also, removing the need for a soundcard.

if you are planning to get a whole system, there are some motherboards which have HDMI out

^^Horrible chipset. Avoid it unless you absolutely need SLI i.e. intend to run a pair of GTX280 cards. Otherwise you are way better off with anything based on Intel P45.

This is coming from someone who runs an SLI board with a pair of 8800 Ultra graphics cards (top of the line when I bought them). The chipset is a nightmare.
