Still congrats.Looks sweet !
This happens to the real computer user when they migrate to something with looks. But I personally like the MAC`s looks only. Never had any experience with it.

Lovely laptop. I have the 1210 and used a friend's 1330 for a while. A big improvement in ergonomics, lcd panel quality and thickness over the 1210. I'm a big big fan of the XPS laptops.

He is not gonna do any gaming on it. PS2 will take care of the gaming. He doesn't even needed e2180 but as it happpens in ICE section pushed him to get that instead of pentium D 925. Now we need to overclock it to 3.4+ GHZ and kick the hell outta Core2Duo E6750

Nice rig but 1K more on CPU and the rig would be EVIL

The actual price was 78k, and XPS is a premium line so no discounts...but my friend is a manager at Dell, so I managed to get it for 58k

@abhibh: Vista WEI is 4.1

@lbm: It doesnt come with 8600GT option yet...but the XPS 1530 has it (But 15.4" is not my size...I opted for the 13.3")

True.. I forgot to see the model number, I was also discussing the similar model with my friend and I also suggest him to go for 13 inch model as it will be lighter than the 15 inch one. And laptop should be light as possible.

Actually, since MAC has started using Intel Processors and chipset we can dual boot MAC and Windows platforms using bootcamp or parallals. Atlast we dont have to compromise on looks, security, stability and comfort as we have all in one hardware!! Isnt that good guys?? I really wish that Apple should set up a manufacturing unit in India so we can buy them much cheaper!!

Here's my PC's config...

Intel Dual Core 2.2 Intel E4500 800MHz,2 MB,LGA
Intel D945GCNL 945G,S,L,16x,1066 MHz
Zebronics Nvidia 8600 GT 512 MB
Seagate 160GB SATA
2 X 1.0 GB-DDR2 667 Mhz
LG DVD Writer
Sony DVD Drive
I Ball Workhorse Cabinet(Mac like)
Benq Wireless Keyboard
Logitech mini mouse wireless
Viewsonic 22" LCD monitor with Webcam and hight adjustable
Creative 6060 5.1 Speaker
Creative SB Live Audigy Soundcard

@navin_bhp: How much did you pay for the Viewsonic with the webcam? When did you buy it? I am looking for something similar. Viewsonics are overpriced. I am eyeing a Dell LCD with webcam. Available in 20" and 22".
