YES! Finally...I got myself a macbook, Intel dual core processor 2.16 ghz, 120 GB HDD, super drive and 1 GB RAM. The machine simply rocks!! Running parallel desktop so I can work on XP and Mac OS X simultaneously without any trouble.

Ahem, here's what I use at home, assembled it around 2 years ago...

AMD64 3000+
ASUS K8V-MX motherboard
1 GB RAM
Seagate 120GB SATA
XFX 7300GT AGP card
D-Link DWL-G510 WiFi card & ANT24 5Db antenna

I run WinXP SP2b - not a pirated copy

The machine was originally meant for browsing & fooling around, I now use the machine for gaming. The system is starting to show its' age however...

Do go for the Intel processors now.
AMD was OK when you bought the machine.

Graphic Card - On Board 256MB ATi Radeon xPress200

If your pocket allows, get a blind-fold, put your ear plugs on and go get a Creative Soundblaster X-fi Elite Pro.Otherwise, an M-Audio Revolution 7.1

^^Unless the CPU is quadcore, it'll have 4MB of cache. In case of quads its 2x4MB. The new penryns will have 2x6MB.
