Are you sure about the quality of Hynix memory. Who makes it. I would rather spend some more and stick with decent brands such as Corsair, Kingston, G-Skill, etc. Trust me, it will be far cheaper in the long run and better in both short- and long-term.

Hynix, according to Wikipedia, happens to be the second largest memory chip manufacturer in the world, and one of the only five companies that manufacture flash memory, others being Intel, Toshiba, Samsung and Micron.

Hynix was used by Dell in their computers. i found this out when i had opened my Dimesion 4300 for upgrade - this was in 2005. don't know if they're still used by Dell though.

My apologies on Hynix. It is supposed to be a good memory but our old h/w vendor says a lot of duplicates in the market. If you get it from a trusted vendor, then it is very good and you should be getting DDR3.

Why dont you look for Mac Mini? I personally feel that its _THE_ best CPU in the market. You will have to get your own screen, keyboard and mouse though.

Here's some news for people who've already purchased/are contemplating a Sandy Bridge

5% of the motherboards(P67/H67) sold have a chipset design error, which will cause your SATA 3 Gbps interface to degrade over time, depending on the amount of data pushed through it. Manufacturers are likely to offer repair or replacement, so get in touch with your vendor.

Also, prospective buyers are advised to wait a month (by TomsHardware) before buying to ensure that they don't get faulty stuff.

I installed a Corsair 240GB SSD yesterday.

It is quite an eerie experience not to hear the buzz from my Velociraptor HDD. It feels as if the programs are loading from RAM and obviously much faster than even the Velo.
