Issues with AVG 9

1. During installation of AVG9,it asks to uninstall the Avira ANTIVIR software
2. After Installation, it consumes lot of memory

Did someone faced any of the above issues in AVG9 ???

I have uninstalled AVG 9 and using only adawre, antivir software .

Using Win 7, previously using Avast, now using MS Security Essentials. False positives do occur, but also finds real threats. MS is back with a bang!!!

AVG consumes lot of resource, especially when the scan is in progress.

Have been using Avira Antivir for the last 5 years . Have stood by my most of the time except when i have been stupid. Its free and its good.

Was using Personal Tiny Firewall which was very good . But it is no longer free , so am using the default windows firewall and i have a router which has an inbuilt firewall if i need more robust defence . Have to find out how to set it up though lol . And yes im cheap, i like free stuff

Using Avast 4.8 Home edition presently. I am very satisfied with the product as it is light on resources and easy to use, moreover Avast home edition is free . Have tried
NOD32 - detects keygens as virus, some viruses like "newfolder.exe" sneak through easily.
Norton - total waste of money. (ok i just download them as torrents)
AVG - not that great
Kaspersky - never ever run on a low spec comp
F-secure - uses same engine as Kaspersky

Got a invitation from Symantec to test the beta version of N360 v4.0
Installed it along with MSSE. Symantec advertises this version is compatible with Windows 7. But not with the RC. After install got the famous uistub compatibility error.

N360 v4.0 Beta is compatible with RTM and Retail.

So far so good, RAM usage is very very less, booting time is slightly increased, may be due to MSSE and N360.
