Re: The big fight: Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 ?

Guys, Now that Both PS4 and Xbox one launches are around the corner, What will be the future of PS3 ?

I am looking to source one PS3 from USA, along with Move bundle for 290$ or so. But Will the prices drop further when PS4 will get launched ?
I can get one tomorrow itself for 290$ (or just the console for 199%) 250GB one.

Also another doubt i have is about the power supply(USA 110V and here in india its 220V) So do i really need an adapter ? I hear some say PS3 supports 100-250v power supply?

Or is it a better idea to wait.

The XBOX One looks like one of the VCR players we had 20 years ago.

And it costs double too

Well i am 30+ and not looking for hardcore gaming like a teenager. My son is 5yrs. So more of interactive games which i can play with kid etc.

And may be motion sensor games for some workout.

Main advantage of PS3 i can see is blue ray player and Built in Wifi that can convert my dumb Tv into a smart one instantly

Then PS3 with move bundle is ideal for you. Since you planning to ship it from USA, check with the warranty. Recently I read somewhere that Sony won't honor the warranty in India if the items are shipped from other countries.

Re: The big fight: Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 ?

Guys: Need a favor, my cousin (his son) has an XBox 360 which almost unused. They got a replacement from microsoft as the original one died. He got it modded (software) so it can play all and has max used like 2-3 times after that. He has the xbox 360, 60gb hard drive, 2 wireless controller, kinect, 2 games - sim city and sports, with some 60 pirated games which I dont know if it works. I tried few and it worked.

He has left the XBox with me and asked me to sell it. He is expecting 18k. Is it fair price? I have no clue on this so need help

You can never be ahead of the curve here. If you get a good deal on the ps3 take it. You can also buy used from GameStop in the US, if you want to be cost conscious. I have a ps3 with move and all remotes etc. works well with a simple step down transformer. I read that it works on 230v too but didn't want to take the chance as the power panel sticker only mentions 120V.

The Next Generation of Gaming: PS4 vs XBOX ONE

With the PS4 slated for release this holiday season(November or December) and XBOX ONE releasing this November which one are you guys looking forward to buying the most.
I'm looking forward to the XBOX simply because of it's game exclusives i.e. Halo, Gears of War and Forza Motorsport.
Plus I've always felt XBOX LIVE was better than PSN.

Re: The Next Generation of Gaming: PS4 vs XBOX ONE

Looking forward to the PS4. Somehow I've always felt comfortable with the Playstation's controllers than the X-Box. Even the graphics on the PS3 seem more fluid - but the PS/XBox topic is highly debatable, so I'll leave it there.

However, I am very surprised at how big and boxy the PS4 and the Xbox one consoles are this time around!

I find it funny how Microsoft initially announced that they won't allow sharing games for the Xbox one only to later face backlash from the gaming community and revert on their decision. IFO believe if you've bought a game you're free to do whatever with it.

On paper this time around, PS4 has a clear advantage as far as graphic power is concerned. Was always a fan of PS simply because of the exclusives like GT5, Uncharted series.

They used to give a free swap earlier. I heard they stopped in October.
No harm in trying since you already have the hardware with you.

re: XBox, Playstation and other gaming consoles

Hello everyone,

I have been a silent lurker of this thread and this is my first post. I ain't a hardcore gamer but my interest is only on racing/motor sport games for now.

My sister stays in the US and I have always wanted to get the xbox or Play station from there. Now that my mom is coming back in the month of October I want to get one through her. Here are my questions :

1. Is it worthy to go for the Xbox or PS3 when you have the latest models slated for launch in November ?
2. If i were to buy the current models which one should I buy ? Xbox or PS ? which is more value for money and provides a good gaming experience. As I said, I am not a hardcore gamer and I will be using it not much often. Grand tourismo, cricket and F1 are the current games I can think of.
3. Any particular video format to be considered ?
4. Can the motion sensor consoles used for the non-motion games ?

I don't have indepth knowledge about these hence would request your advise.

My sister has been asking me to finalize the model to buy it but my heart says to buy the new ones :(
