Also any particular brand of HDMI cable i need to pick up?

Could you please let me know how i can download the update and transfer from USB to PS3? Step by step procedure or any links to the same would be appreciated.

Thank you.
I would suggest to hold your buying until PS3 320 Gb bundle is released. Price would be more or less the same as 250GB bundle, but of course GOW would be missing, instead you would get Eye camera, a Move controller, and demo games for using the move controller.

If I knew about this 'coming up' bundle few weeks back, I would have waited for sure

@redrage

I am using this HDMI cable: eBay India: Gold Plated HDMI Cable 1.4v 1.4 Type A Male 1.8m 2160p (item 120621851468 end time 22-Sep-2010 12:44:50 IST)

Got it earlier to connect my laptop with the LCD.

Now using it with PS3 without any issues.

@Shan: Thanks for the link. 2 q's

Do i need to format the USB in PAL/NTSC for the ps3 to recognize it?

Can the USB have other data as well, apart from the PS3>Update folder?

To be honest, I don't think there is any difference between HDMI cable makes. I'm using a Rs 150 cable bought from ebay for my PS3 and it is working fine. I've also interchanged the cable with one from Sony (I got it with a Blu/ray DVD player) and did not find any difference.

From what I've seen on other forums, HDMI cables pass digital signals. In any given cable, the signals either pass through or they do not. There is no question of signal loss. If the signal passes through, it is good enough. There may be questions over the reliability though.

I'm using this particular cable from the past three months on my PS3 and Home Theater and have no problems with it.

As long as your USB is Fat32 and not NTFS, the PS3 will read it. Other files need not be deleted, the PS3 will only look for that particular folder. Just make sure the PS3 folder is right on top and not placed inside another folder.

Well then, all I can say is ENJOY!!

Even I am currently playing GOW III. Was initially hooked to Uncharted 2, now that I am done with that, getting on to GOW III. After that Far Cry 2 is in the queue and yes occasional tennis sessions on Top Spin as well

How much you got your PS3 bundle for?

Hm, I have a query about the PS2 slim version. Is there a way out to use the USB in it for listening to MP3 songs? I see lot of information in net about the swap magic and other tools, but most of them requires the mod chips.

Anything without modding the PS2?

Thanks.

Any idea how much will this move controller cost if we buy it separately. Is it already available?

Update:
Any guys in Bangy have the modded PS2? I am planing to create the bootable memory card using it so I can use the card for booting it without modding my PS2, if possible.

Voted for PS3. We already have a X360 at our office, and we'll be getting the PS3 at the end of this month. One reason for voting for the PS3:

GOD. OF. WAR.

'Nuff said.
