Latest update on my case is that there is no update. I called the customer care with my complaint number and they said they'll resolve it before 3 PM today. When I asked them why no one has called me to understand my problem for the past 3 days; they mentioned they are working on it.
I am pretty sure that today being Bharat bandh, they would have "technical issues" in reaching me. Whom should I tweet my complaint to?

Strange, how would they resolve without checking with you.
Anyway did you sent the ACT3G sms ???
try it, its a toll free sms & won't harm even if it was activated earlier.
I had similar issue with vodafone, 3G used to work on phone but not on modem, after many explanation a complaint was taken by 3G team, and next morning i was able to connect 3G from modem too, also got a callback on other number for confirming that issue has been resolved.
Also *147# from ussd option in mobile partner should make you check the available bandwidth etc.
GHPK,
I shall send the sms today. The only hassle is removing the SIM from Data card, putting it in another phone and then removing it all over again. The other drawback is their customer service in Mumbai is LETHARGIC
My problem persists. Tried opening the net setter to take out the sim. any suggestions on how to open it? Btw, look what I got in my mailbox. Also, see the speed below!

There should be a tray near the USB connector, if you want u can use the dialer itself to send the SMS.
Hoping its mobile partner.
The response is very alarming and such customer service is certainly unacceptable, re-raise the ticket and do quote this one.
Mail any senior at idea, they must be having the contact details on their website.

I have sent the sms. Right now, I am fighting with MTS. I was using Mblaze for 1.5 years now and it had stopped working last month. Despite a couple of complaints, things moved slowly, they mentioned my data card is outside of warranty so I need to buy a new one. I was okay with it but the service engineer tried selling my family a used data card with no bill and warranty!
We didn't buy it. To top it all, I realized yesterday that my SIM has been taken away by the service engineer. When I spoke to customer care, they mentioned there is no SIM for MBlaze models!
I have already connected with their nodal office and also Chief of customer Service.
Let's see.
An update on the below:
MTS has been in touch with me after I sent the email. Hoping for the queries to be resolved ASAP. Idea too is in touch with me through Tweeter.

False promises and slow responses is how I would describe my experience. Yet to recieve a new Data Card from MTS and no Idea where Idea is!
I am planning to buy a usb modem for use in Pune (mostly) and Hyderabad (sometimes). Which one should I go for? I may have to use it for conf. calls with screen sharing. Good connectivity on-the-go and high speed and reasonably priced big data plans (10GB-20GB per month) are the priority. Please help.

300 MB is quite less? what if my usage is more? I usually consume about 2GB a month. I guess my last recharge was for 350 Rs.

You need to check if your antivirus is flagging your connection speeds down,
Hi All,
I am planning to buy an Aircel 3G Data Card. I would use it in Bangalore primarily and rarely outside the city. Any reviews of the speed / service of aircel? Note : This is AirCel and not Airtel.
Thanks!
Hi All,
I am planning to buy a 3G data card and will be used in Bangalore and occasionally in Kerala. Pls let me know which one will be good. Which data card will work near Kottayam or after that?
Regards,
Gopi

I have reliance netconnect which works good in Bangalore and Trivandrum.
TVM being the capital, it will work. I am looking at smaler cities like chengannur/thiruvalla etc.

Gopi

They are right, MTS is on CDMA network and does not need any SIM.
I think it would be easier to just buy a New Data card and activate it, instead of fighting for a replacement as its a Data card and phone number does not matter here.
