Its a reliable store
But I've ordered Max item of 10K only.
The sellers with higher feedback numbers are mostly reliable and responsible.
You should certainly call them before making a 50k purchase.

Try Canada or Hk sellers with high ratings on ebay.com. Then import it personally or ask someone to carry it with them. Should cost you less than or around 25k. Also check out the new 18-250 Sigma lens.

Thanks

What pisses me off more is not the wrong item sent - it could be a honest mistake, but their pathetic customer service.

I was thinking of getting some prints from them but after this bad customer service experience i don't think i'm going to.
After opening three requests for the wrong item sent i finally get a response and i was told that i will be sent the correct item.

So after being kept waiting for another week today i received one packet and upon opening i found that they have sent me the same wrong item once again. See the pic. Two wrongs doesn't make a right.. but Zoomin.com thinks that two wrongs is the way to please a customer. If they didn't have the item in stock they should've issued a refund.

I've lost hope with these morons and i don't think i'm buying anything from them in the future. Looks like Zoomin order fulfillment department is being manned my idiots.

After looking at your issues with them, now i seriously feel i was lucky to get my D5100 delivered even after their logistics confirmed it hasnt left their warehouse

Seems like either they have too many orders and are not able to cater to the demand in time or they are plain and simple, dis-organized

You received an item that hasn't even left their warehouse! From what happened with my order and yours it looks like zoomin.com's inventory and order fulfillment is completely dis organised.

I would've been happy if they just issued me a refund the first time. What am i going to do with these two? Selling these won't fetch me Rs830.

Nissin Di622 MkII for Nikon

Some questions for people who know this make:
1. I have a Nikon SB700 that I use off camera with my D7000. Looking for a 2 flash set up, that won't be used often enough to justify the 20k for another 700, I was looking for a 600 that would be for around 10-11k, but it isn't available anymore. Does the Nissin work in TTL wireless mode just the way a 600/700 would?
2. I know the build quality isn't Nikon class, but are Nissins reliable enough if carefully used?

Re: The DSLR Thread

@Sawyer : I may be wrong, but only the Nikon flashes use Nikon's CLS which is proprietary, for off-camera firing as well. Non-OE flashes need to use 3rd party radio triggers, Pocketwizard seems very popular, but I don't see it sold in India.

While Nikon's CLS/AWL is proprietary, two makes that claim to be compatible in wireless TTL mode via reverse engineering are Metz and Nissin. My natural preference would be Metz, but for some reason the little flash stand isn't thrown in with the flash - even Nikon gives it free, so does Nissin. And I don't see it sold in India anywhere either.

Claims are one thing, reality can be different - hence my question earlier.

Got a fantastic reply from their customer care:

There is no point in dealing with these monkeys. Their shipping department sends the wrong item and the customer care replies that they've send the right one.

If I was in your situation would have jumped from a building ( so easier than dealing with zoomin.in)

Just kidding

Re: The DSLR Thread

Good for me that I didn't pick up that FZ200 from them last month as their offer was the lowest on ebay, I could very well have received FZ150 if this is the service quality of zoomin

If you are looking for additional flash to supplement your main flash, then get a "Slave" flash. This flash is triggered by the main flash, hence no connection - wired or wireless are needed. I have a 24 year old Nissin which works perfectly in "slave" mode. For the most inexpensive solution, just get a plain old flash designed for older film cameras, which has a "slave" mode. As these cannot be used by DSLR (due to high voltage leaking through the shoe), they will be available dirt cheap. Just check that the flash fires when the main flash fires.
