On other note, started playing Quake 4 & Doom 3 again (out of nostalgia and itch to play a good FPS game). I must say that i forgot how good the FPS games used to made earlier and am absolutely loving playing these 2 games.
How Forbidden West stacks against Zero Dawn?
I am on Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart good fun game which doesn't need much attention while playing.

Finished Alan Wake 2 prior to this, and it was a treat on LG Oleg with Ray tracing

There was a time when I was hooked on Quake 4. Your post took me back to those days. It's been more than 10-15 years, I guess.
I also played Doom 3, but Quake 4 was the favourite in my friend circle.
Those were the days!

Gameplay / Mechanics / environment are overall the same with some minor improvements. One place where-in they could have done better would have been if story focussed more on robot dinosaurs rather than getting into to sci-fi angle which makes it a bit jarring. But that is nit-picking as the game is very good.

long story short - if you liked horizon Zero Dawn, you will love this too. The visuals (along with The Callisto Protocol in my opinion) are drool worthy and it will look & play great on a wide-screen.

Stoked! I've played all CoD games on PC and extensively play CoD mobile on iPad. Warzone will be fun
Hey, from a fellow COD Warzone player

Warzone mobile on android is a disaster. My S22 Ultra heats up uncontrollably. Besides, graphics is something that I don't want to compromise on.

So, I refrain playing on mobile and prefer playing on bigger & faster screen setups. I have 165hz monitor with a decent gaming rig that I enjoy playing on. Let me know if you do play on PC / Console, we can drop in together for a game or two! Stay frosty!

Not much of a gamer, but I did play Q3A again after a long time. Damn this is just so much fun! I especially like "The Longest Yard" and the freaking Railgun!! And of course, Sarge's "Nooooooooooo" as he plunges into the abyss!

Re: PC & Console games - Discussion Thread

Started playing Dark Souls 2 Scholar Of the First Sin.
Playing as a melee character now. Tried sorcerer build initially. Could not progress much

Query to the console gamers: How many have switched from Xbox to PS5/4 ?
I am planning to get PS5 next year (almost a decade with Xbox One). Majorly due to the exclusives on Sony !

Just waiting to clear my current backlog

Don’t sweat about it. You can start off as any class and progress into anything else you desire to depending on the stats you level up.

I usually prefer melee classes because I like wielding heavy weapons. And level up the required stats accordingly.

The DLCs have some nice bosses. Good luck man.

Gave up playing as sorcerer. Simply impossible for me.
Started a melee class and wielding the Greatsword+3 now. Breezing through the enemies

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is on sale right now. Bought it today for 199

Where to buy a good condition used PS3

Greetings to All, I haven't played games in a very long time, and since my child is only 4.5 years old, I'm not prepared to spend a lot of money on a new console. I'm considering purchasing an older model of the PS3 or XBox. Any tips on where to get good-quality consoles in Bangalore? All I'm searching for are racing games, maybe some role-playing games. 5 to 10 hours a week at most.

I would suggest go for Ps4. The cost difference might only be 5-6K but the game compatibility of current and upcoming titles will be higher on PS4. If you have access to MyGate app, I can see PS3 for 10k and PS4 starting at 16K. These will be direct sellers before negotiations. Do check the console and controllers before you pick it up.

Else OLX or FB marketplace will be a good place to hunt too.

I would suggest you to avoid old gen consoles like ps3 and xbox360. Better go for xbox one 1s, simply because of huge game pass library. There are some great indie games for family fun too.

Get a Nintendo Switch V1/2 (Not the lite) with *cough cough* OS installed so you don't have to spend a lot on games. There are loads of child & family friendly games which you or his/her friends can enjoy together. Consoles like PS & Xbox are geared more towards playing online, whereas Switch is geared more towards couch co-op. You can play as a portable console, detach the joycons and use the screen as a TV or attach it to the TV, its super portable & you can easily take it out without having to undo a lot of wires.

There are games like Mario Kart 8 which my 24 year old Sister in Law enjoys playing endlessly, also there are bunch of family oriented games which 2-4 people can play together (Uno, Monopoly & a lot more).

PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One are all way too old now.
