I've been hooked to flight sims for ages. My current favourite (for the past 2 years!) are the 'Strike Fighter' & 'Wings over ....' series from Thirdwire. I just enjoy the thrill of flying different fighter planes over different terrains in fictional/historical wars. These games are also easy to modify by downloading add-ons from the Internet -- my favourite is an Indian Subcontinent add-on in which I have the option of flying in Indian or Pakistani jets engaged in combat over the subcontinent.

I used to play daily till 2-3 a.m. after coming home from work at 12a.m. but had to curtail it to weekend nights only, after the wife threatened to break my joystick. But every now and then, on my way to work when I see a jet fighter taking off from the HAL airport, the itch kicks in and that night I sit late throwing all restrictions to the wind!

Let me make this short

PC:
Quake 3, Half Life 1 and 2, FSX, CS 1.6, UT 2k4, Thief, GTA3, Serious Sam, Doom3.

PS:
Uncharted, Batman AA, MGS 4, GT4, God Of War series.

If i were to select 1 from each, I would select Q3 and God Of War!

Also for multiplayer, I would recommend the following:
Q3, CS, WoW, Team Fortress 2, AOE2 (never liked AOE3), BF2.

i'm a aficionado of car games.. n also play other first person shooter / strategy games

Dont like tennis / fifa / nba etc

I play on my Xbox
- Burnout paradise
- NFS ProStreet
- grand theft auto
- Halo 3
- Tomb raider

I got an unused fresh copy of PGR3 (PAL - India Compatible disc);Mine is a NTSC console.

If someone needs can let me know.

You cant play NFS Shift on anything lesser than a Microsoft Xbox controller or a Steering control. Its impossible to fine throttle on the normal keyboard whereas you can throttle in and out smoothly on the joysticks or pedals. brilliant game!

ALso what are the games which are the most happenig nowadays and are worth buying in PS2?

Go for PS3 now the prices have dropped to 20k and the configurations have been updated to 80GB + there are some freebies

I'm an ardent fan of XBox.. but PS3 is now becoming high on VFM.
And nowadays, the game titles are almost same in both the universes.

ofcourse there were ones like the LHX, Prehistoric, F1, Prince of persia,GTA2 etc.

The F1 with the logitech steering set. Without it, it's no fun.

Burnout Paradise : The ultimate Box.

Currently playing : Need For Speed Shift. It is a brilliant drivers' game but somehow I feel that it does not suit the NFS badge. Too much precision rather than fun. Should have been the next GTR

. Moreover, I miss those EA Trax, Illegal racing & police pursuits.

I was looking for a thread on gaming (expect T-Bhp to have everything on everything) and stumbled upon this. This thread sure is dying a slow death. Anyhow, my favorite game, without a shred of doubt thus far is "God of war 2". i think it should come with a warning though ...... something like - "WARNING - your wife might beat the living daylights out of you as you would be oblivious to your surroundings for hours while playing this game".

How cool is Kratos. Cant wait to get my hands on a PS3. Will continue begging the wife for her permission (Sob..). Has anyone seen the videos / spoilers of actual gameplay? MAANNNNNNNN. I always thought how would Sony better the most awesome game ever. Well, they just did.

^^gow3 is an awesome game .. i got the game last month but got to play only till the chap " Realm of Hades " but then unfortunately my ps3 crashed and i cant wait to get it back from replacement .. all my data would be gone so i will have to start again from the beginning .. gow3 is the best ps3 game yet
