Guys, whats going on ? Everyone is interested in over-processed images ? I dislike all of it, including the over-sharpened one I posted in the previous page. Sorry, thats just me

deky, good one there, is it shot at Jaipur ? I am getting my interests back to birding again, need to get a 2X teleconverter to restart my experiments !

Found an old one from my Goan trip.

Thanks, and I wish we in Jaipur had half as beautifull a lake as what this lake is. Well, to cut it short this is Pangong Tso in Ladakh!!

@All the HDRers
Subtility is the key to an interesting HDR.
As Rudra once told me, "HDR messes up your sense of exposure". I repeat the same a million times over. Composition wins over processing. Use HDR only when necessary, when you really need those shadow details. The second you get a halo in your HDR, consider it overdone, unless you are specifically going for the halo for some reason(Which I will never understand).

We all go through the HDR trip at some point or the other, I myself have gone though it. So guys, bring out some subtle HDRs as well.

Very well said Mukul.
To hammer the point home, we are all beginners, just understanding what HDR really means. In the process, a lot of things get messed beyond repair, the solutions to which seem shady, because the final outcome looks heavenly to our eyes. We sometimes do fail to realize that sometimes less is more.
Will keep your words in my memory for a long time brother.

The first picture is gorgeous. The selective colouring rocks!
The rocks to the left of the lady in the second shot looks blown out though. Any particular reason?

@Shaju: The two worlds pic is a very beautiful composition! How I wish the baby had its thumb in its mouth!

The first image is not really selective color in the traditional sense. I did not do any selection using Photoshop. It's a Lightroom preset that I generated, that's at work over there.

Impact of an image is deciphered by the overall balance. My eyes could not see the second image as out of balance despite the rock being exposed more. So I did not do anything to it. But you are welcome to disagree.

Thanks man. I repeat, that looks like selective coloring, but in actuality,its not the traditional selective coloring at work, where you make a selection in photoshop and apply the desaturation.. I applied my own Lightroom preset to achieve it. Also, it was shot on a nice cloudy day, with a lot of fog. So the rocks already turned desaturated due to the gloomy light.

@Mukul, does your preset work on individual color channels to reduce saturation of some particular color alone? like blue, cyan etc? Beautiful pictures. The model, not being an Indian, slightly misplaced the 'bindiya'
