Very nice photo, clevermax! I love the mood in it and the compo is great.

Also, I think the colour one looked better.

cheers

klub clas & clevermax: Thanks for your comments. I took those pictures with my d40 while I was at the creek teaching a friend how to use different shooting modes in his new D3000.

@clevermax, the picture of the leaves is amazing. Love the way the colors stand out.

I have a question for you all. What is the best way to capture images of fighter planes in the sky? The Dubai Airshow is going on and a lot of planes (both acrobatic & fighter jets) are whizzing past my office. Tried to capture a few shots, but I am not happy with the output.

One of my better shots:

A poor one:

Thanks wheeler & mobike. I saw some similar shot of colorful leaves in flickr, shot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital, and just wanted to check how far my humble A200 can cope up with reproducing vivid colors like this - that's the inspiration behind the shot.

@wheeler: Quick comment I can give is that you need to use a lens with more zoom. The planes are too small in the frames. Once you have it, you need to practice panning the camera to get good steady shots while the planes zoom past.

Found some random pics on my computer that I thought I would share. Didn't have my SLR with me for this trip to London, so the quality isn't that great.

On my way from work, i spotted this huge Christmas tree kinda thing at Bandra, Bombay. At first look it seemed to me like some preparation for the coming festive season. However to my surprise it turned out to be completely unexpected and made me stop my car in the middle of the road. I saw the huge sign board stating "Is this the only waterfall our children will see?". The entire MET (Mumbai Educational Trust) building was covered with plastic bottles in the form of a huge waterfall.

So here goes...

The Sign Board.

@merve
Lovely!

I could not stay away from photography! Despite being camera less, I borrowed my friend's D700 this weekend :P And here are some of the results.
