Just wanted to get an idea on how near you were, from the bird... To figure out whether you bribed the bird to pose for you or not.. ;-) Anyway, good one.

Hi All,

Have been following this thread and enjoying the photographs since quite a while now. Here'e my first contribution... picture taken about 3 years ago in Interlaken, Switzerland. Walking from the train station to the hostel, I turned back, and couldn't help clicking this...

@abhijithaparadh
Awesome sky! Phew!

@Hellwrath
Well bugged

@TSEA
Well, that shot is not processed apart from slight clarity enhancement in Lightroom. So the shine you see is 100% natural, the trick is simple...let the sunlight hit the bird...I was lying on the grass, so my shadow did not come in the way of the evening sun.

The sky went crazy a few days ago

Where is this? Vietnam? Interesting shot.

f/16, 1/100 would have given this shot a better & deeper DOF.

I love the color cast on evening sky. It makes all buildings look similar. A shot taken on Newport:

@TG: Very Nice pic. I know so many folks have asked you before on how you get such clear sky/cloud colors. But I will have to ask again.

In most of my pics the Sky/clouds, look over-exposed. So you really have to tell me the steps to correct it (post processing), but since I don't have PS, is it possible if you can give me some direction on using GIMP/Corel software. I am asking for too much!

@discobiscuit: Oh! it was a wild guess, but I was correct..

Another shot from the beach.. Processed B/W, in an attempt to get rid of the colors and still give the evening sky a decent look..

EXIF: 1/2000s, f/4.5, ISO 200, focal lght: 26mm.

@clevermax: Personally I think this picture one of the best ones in spite of it's simplicity (or may be because of it....?)

Black and white pictures always seem to be much more thought provoking and have a deeper meaning than color ones. Even at times when the same picture is seen in the two settings, the B&W seem to stand out and make you tend to stare at it and think... Is it just me or others also feel like that?
