Agree. I am trying to get good shots without any digital tweaking. |
Hmm, let us see. So... you are shooting raw and then you are posting it without any processing, just convert to jpg and resize. That indicates supreme confidence in your shooting technique. Therefore, I checked yor exif. The F-stop is F/2.8 and exposure compension is 0 and the camera is Pentax Optio 550.
This is where things get really confusing. The camera in question doesn't have a raw mode. That means you couldn't have got a natural output, the default in-camera processing engine would have applied the automatic post-processing on your image. If you had raw mode, the camera will leave it alone and allow you to use much superior Photoshop to do -postprocessing. But in your case the camera did the post-processing without asking you for any input. That displays supreme confidence in your on-camera processing engine. I see you haven't applied any exposure compensation, wish I could trust my dSLR metering that much, that too in such a confusing lighting situation. Again you have full confidence in your exposure meter. I am not saying it is a bad thing, looks like you really trust your camera to do everything correctly. Only thing I didn't understand is this, why pick F/2.8 for such deep landscape shot, I agree your 1/1.8 sensor has much deeper DOF than any dSLR, but still isn't that taking a chance? Were you targeting a softer effect? |
