- Set camera to Manual focus. You then dont use the AF points and go with your judgement.
- Set the focus the nearest part of the image. Snap it and keep moving the focus ring the last section of the subject has been covered.
- Make sure there is enough overlap and its in sequence.

S/W to used:
- Photoshop itself can stack.
- Else for third party look at Zerene stacker or Helicon Focus.

Thats a nice click. Great Bokeh effect. Can you tell me why you picked up 35mm and not 50 mm. What are the difference between these two fixed lens?

I read a lot of reviews where people mentioned that the 35mm provides more room for normal photography apart from the portraits. Both being Prime lenses will offer the same speed (read fast). For most applications, close to a "standard" focal length, the 35 seems way more usable. A 50mm lens will be good as a short tele, for portraits, etc. but not for "general" use.

Personally I had used a 50mm lens earlier and hence chose the 35mm over it.

They are not wrong. If you are using film SLR or full frame dSLR, 50mm is the normal or standard lens. However, if you are using APS-C sensor dSLRs, 35mm will become your normal lens.

Canon = 35mm x 1.6 = 56mm
Nikon/Sony = 35mm x 1.5 = 52.5mm

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Got Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35 mm f/1.8G Lens for Nikon D3200 few days back.

Bokeh effect is just amazing and picture quality is also good under low light as compared to my 18-105 mm kit lens.
