Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served. When little Johnny received his plate, he started eating straight away.
“Jonny, wait until we’ve said our prayer,” his mother reminded him.
“I don’t have to.” – the little boy replied.
“Of course you do.” – his mother insisted. “We say a prayer before eating at our house.”
“That’s at our house,” Johnny explained, “but this is Grandma’s house and she knows how to cook.”

Only in Punjab! The speedometer of this motorcycle reads: Hauli, tej, hor tej, haner, tufaan, goli, and fateh. (Works best if you understand a bit of Punjabi)
& check out the key !
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said ‘Parking Fine'.

Guys... Let's have a translation if the text is not in English?
This is not just because of my spectacular failure at languages, but a reminder that, in some parts of India, Hindi is actually not widely spoken, let alone read.
I concur. Suppose guys from south post a joke in Tamil, Malayalam, etc and say any translation into English would make the joke fall flat. Or a Bangalee joke, or Assamese, for that matter. Let's share the fun. Literal translation with short contextual explanation helps.

The text on the speedometer is written in punjabi. With my little knowledge of Punjabi and help from google, let me translate the same for everyone's benefit.
So the speedometer in this bullet is marked as: slow, fast, faster, darkness, storm (the weather condition), bullet (the one which is fired from a gun) and conquered.
Don't miss the key in the shape of a revolver. :D

Quite close, but this is what it actually means:
Slow, fast, faster, storm (hanera is darkness, haner/haneri is storm), hurricane, speeding bullet (as in as fast as a speeding bullet) and game over :D
Guys, your help is appreciated. Not all jokes translate at all, but you have helped me to smile at this one :)
