@gowda79- the tagline says it all "Discreet packaging, easy returns". Buying lingerie in this country is no joke (I know this is the official jokes thread!) I guess the attempt is to make it a little easier on women (and men) by offering an online option.

On a lighter note, you DO know that people come to Team BHP for everything from medical advice to tips on how to quit smoking, so why should this be any different? :D:D

Google advertisements on "any forum" etc., are served based on the viewer. So depending upon what you have been searching on google, or the sites you have been visiting, this advertisement has been shown to you :D

Dear Tanveer, before making such kind of statements please think it out and then put it on the forum as you are one of the mods would not be good on your part to do the same.

Why is this such a big deal? What's wrong with buying underwear?

AFAIK, the ads are displayed based on the cookies available on the local PC, I may be wrong though..

Even I am seeing the same ad:D. And I am accessing the forum from office machine hence you cannot say that I was looking for that. The office firewall is quite strong to let someone search for such items.

Ha ha ha... the forum ad joke is funny enough when you read the thread below without taking your mind off the ad..

...Are those boat type things really big enough to fit typical Indian family bags? It offers better weather protection and is more aerodynamic for sure though...

No offense people... just for laughs...

Did not mean to offend you. It was made in jest.
Certain terms in the posts in the storme thread could also trigger this advert. If you have been searching for fine dining restaurants in new year eve, this could trigger such an advert too.

:)
In that case someone should post the ads that may come up in the hanky- panky thread!

I thought at some point of time TBHP wanted google ads to avoid any car related ads to stay impartial to any specific brand.

Even today I would rather see lingerie than car ads on TBHP, and I am truly saying this because of impartiality :D

Though whats been said about surfing the internet gets you the same adds in other websites (known as remarketing) is true mostly but not entirely. Google Adsense allows customers to target certain section of surfers, for eg customer visiting New websites etc. Which advertisement will display is dependent on the algorithm used by Google adsense tool and is not disclosed.

Let's keep the jokes coming and not kill fun!

Dear Android Experts on board, Never knew that rooting your android phone could also result in hair loss. Your thoughts? :p

This is reality. With the samsung bug, if your note gets bricked, you will pull out all your hair

Hi warwithwheels,

Rooting a phone technically voids warranty but there are ways to undo the root access. Flashing a custom rom is not exactly easy for a first timer and there are phones where is can even be called complicated (read: HTC phones need to unlock their bootloader via htcdev and only then can they even root their phone). So unless you really want to remove bloatware or install custom roms, i would suggest you to use the stock rom by itself.

Hi Arch-Angel.... Thanks for the tip off.

But this post out here was on a lighter vien. :D Cheers!

@Tanveer: Ha ha.. So true. Been there. Done that. But that consequence getting documented is something out of the world on a serious forum like wiki.

Typical of Top Gear.
