The upside down characters are no joke. Unicode is the script encoding standard for the future.
You are actually looking at characters from other languages which happen to be a mirror image of corresponding ASCII characer.
I find that several mobile phones (sold in India) support display of most Indian languages - and this is one feature not often published. my Nokia 5130XM, and the Samsung SGH X series phones I have owned in the past supported Indic language display very well.

Bard + Angelina=Brangelina(Characters from Male's First name+ and Female's first name)
Shoiab+Sania should be Shosania or Shoisania
