Mikon,
Yeah I tend to agree with Rehaan. Try to frame you shot in an interesting manner. Read up a bit on basics of composition, will really help you when new to photography. just google and you will get lots of stuff on it.

TG

I love the effect, the way everything else has a motion blur, and train is still, instead of the other way round. But you better we careful of shooting trains. I think amtrack arrested two chaps, who were taking pics for a photography contest sponsored by amtrack

I bet NC's going to worship you soon if you continue to put up pictures of trains!

P.S. Beautiful pic!

TG, its hard to come by the two photo threads anytime and not see your pictures.

Train shot is mind blowing. I am very very interested to know the specs of this picture. Care to share?

TG, were you panning the camera while taking the shot:? Thats the only way I can think of about surrounding having motion blur, and train is "stopped" in action

Toyota Corolla by the Golden Gate Bridge. The car is lit only with the moon light in this very long exposure shot. Unfortunately, the immense darkness, and no other light source for the car meant noise.
A 30 second exposure.

Lovely pic Stratos!! You are putting your Nikon to good use!
Try keeping ISO to 100 for 30 second shots(even 200 should do I think)

@tsk1979
No Tanveer, i was not moving. The pan you see is created through Photoshop's radial blur. I worked on the pic rather carefully with layers... to get the effect.

@normally
Here is the link for the large image if you were referring to the train pic

@Nishant
Brilliant click. Just amazing. Though on a critical note, I would say you could have framed it a tad better. Nevertheless great click.

TG.
