Hope this qualifies, no photoshop work here, just shot in E500 at office in jpeg and resized using Picasa.

The bright background is intentionally overexposed so that I can correctly expose the dark Jeep parked in the shade.

This pic would have been much better if you had chosen a location where you could overexpose the background even more to get a high key image. Right now its about 1.5 stops away from being high key

Where was this buddy. Going by the snowfall, I presume last weekend at Yosemite or something/
How did you survive without snow chains? Its a 5000$ fine in california I think to drive without chains on a designated chain road

Many mountain roads in California(esp around Tahoe and Yosemite) require chains after snowfall,
In some regions, notably yosemite, you need to be carrying snow chains all the time in winter season, even if there is no snow on road. You need to put chains only when snow is there on road, but chains should be in your car all the time.

Well this was at Tahoe, went there for the weekend. Yeah the chains were on most of the time, they air it on the radio when it is absolutely necessary. Well i wish the chains were there for the shot, it would have added to the composition!

Not a particularly good image, but an immaculately maintained vehicle. Taken during our drive yesterday. I hope this is okay with you guys:

Something tells me this pic would look better with some chopping, and perhaps in B&W.

Well I could send the original image across to anyone that wants to chop it. I tried tweaking it on iPhoto and got this:
