Unlikely that a polarizer would give you such an effect. HDR methinks.

Nice attempt. Next time try blending the HDR with one of the exposures to have more cleaner look. Sometimes the light smoothing in HDR shows up at unwanted places. (Look at the greenery on the left in your pic)

Though it did fly above my head, will try to find and read how to do this 'blending the HDR with one of the exposures' and will try it out.

@Clevermax : Nice shots of the scale model there! Love the lighting with no reflections whatsoever. +1

@TG : The shot has come out really nicely, but the shot would have been composed better if the sun was cut out IMO. And Clever's shot is of An Alfa Romeo 8C not an Aston

The whole picture is PPed, no separate processing done on the ground and shadow alone.
