It’s the one feature that makes highway driving surreal. I think the twins don’t have that. They have auto regen which in another ball game for efficiency. Yet to understand and experience it. Hopefully someone in my friend circle is rich enough to buy this

Yes it does have 0 regen ie. full coasting mode, press and hold regen + for full stop along with brake pedal blended regen.

It does! And you will forget it once you use Auto-regen. Its like L0/L1/L2/L3/1Pedal based on real time situation! Leave accelerator at 100 with no traffic, it will coast. Leave accelerator down a flyover with no traffic, it will regen at 5% ( you will not feel the regen ). Leave accelerator with no traffic but then suddenly something moved in your lane? It will regen with 0 to begin with, then migrate based on the gap between the cars!
Auto-regen is the best regen setting for highways. For city, I prefer 1pedal mode.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Hi Everyone,

I need a suggestion. I got xev 9e from Gurgaon(Haryana), but all my documents are of UP and want to get the car registered there. The temporary number of the car is of Gurgaon.
When the showroom tried to get the car registered in UP, they are asking to pay 11% road tax instead of Rs5500 which was quoted to me by showroom in Ghaziabad earlier as the road tax is waved off for ev cars in UP. They told as the car is billed in Gurgaon so will have to pay road tax of 11%.
Any suggestions?

Regards
Rohit

Get documents of Gurgaon and pay 80k and register in Gurgaon. May not have too many other options.

700+km day trip in Mahindra XEV 9E

Took my friend’s New Mahindra XEV 9E for a day trip for Tirupur - Bangalore - Tirupur. I am already using MG ZS and Nexon EV for the past 4+years which put together driven more than 2,40,000+kms. Also i use my office car BYD E6 for long journeys. I always feel comfortable driving EVs for long drives. This time i wanted to test the convenience of trying XEV 9E. I always plan for foodbreaks in between long drives where there is DC charging.

Started from home with 97%.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-starting-point.jpg

1st stop for breakfast+charging at Zeon Omalur.

Available charger Zeon 120kw dual guns.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-omalur-charging-summary.jpg

Charged from 63% to 99%, time consumed 44 minutes. Inital Charing speed was 99.32kW upto 80% soc which was very very quick (hardly 10-12 minutes to charge upto 80%). Total time took to finish breakfast with family was 45 minutes and the car was full once we finished breakfast. The food was great here in AAAB Omalur.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-krishnagiri-charging-2.jpg

Reached my destination in bangalore with 51%. Kms driven 353. Energy consumption was 82%.

While returning, my second stop for Icecream+charging was in Zeon krishnagiri. Quick topup from 23% to 41% in 19minutes.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-kkkkkkkkrishnagiri-charging-summary.jpg

Available chargers Zeon 60kw dual gun and 50kw single gun. Available Aminities Burger king, KFC, B&R, Saravana bhavan etc.

3rd stop for Evening snacks+charging was at Zeon Sangagiri. Charged from 10% to 39% in 36 minutes.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-sangagiri-charging-1.jpg

Available chargers Zeon 2x60kw dual gun chargers, total 4 cars can be charged.

Aminities- Saravana bhavan veg restaurant.

Reached home with 17%.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-return-1.jpg

Return journey kms driven 363, energy consumed 81%. Total journey was 715kms with 163% energy consumption. No additional time taken for charging(Planned along with foodbreaks). No range anxiety at all. Plenty of DC chargers available enroute. Onward journey 3 adults + 1 kid. Return journey 3 adults + 2 kids. Kids preferred to play movies and watch cricket which was distracting the driver sometimes. Overall driving experience was amazing.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Hi Fellow XEV Owners,

I need your help.

This inbuilt navigation app was showing option to select between Google Map and Mappls as default map service initially, however once I had selected Mappls there is no option to go back and select Google Map. This option is there in Me4U app bit that is not helping to change in car screen. I have tried factory reset also but factory reset is only resetting Audio selection and connectivity.

Is there any option now to change it? Please suggest.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

What tyre pressure are you guys keeping your tyres at? I keep at 35 but i feel its too high since ride feels very bouncy. If i got to 34 it feels slightly better but soon at it touches 33 the tyre pressure monitoring system starts throwing warnings. Is it advisable to ignore the warnings and keep pressure at 32?

You may get lesser mileage. If you are fine with it I do not see any harm in that.

They are right. In order to avail the subsidy at Uttar Pradesh, the EV must be 'purchased and registered' at Uttar Pradesh

Hi, can you please inform the cruising speed on the highway, how agressively are you reaching the cruising speed, and also the regen level.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Folks, there’s a Mahindra wallet in the ME4U app - wondering what chargers are supported? The chargers shown on Me4U navigation menu with “Scan QR” option, are they enabled for auto charging from the wallet?
