Mercedes CLA Electric listed on the brand’s Indian website

Last month, Mercedes-Benz revealed the all-new CLA for the global markets. It is available with hybrid and pure electric powertrains, and the carmaker has confirmed that the latter will be coming to India.

In fact, the new electric Mercedes-Benz CLA with EQ Technology has already been listed on the brand’s Indian website.

The EV is based on an 800V architecture and offers a range of up to 750 km (WLTP cycle). It comes in single and dual-motor variants, with the former packing 268 BHP and 335 Nm, while the AWD version has 350 BHP and 515 Nm. The new CLA also supports fast charging of up to 350 kW.

Coming to the design, the new electric CLA features a long hood, short overhangs, and a swooping roofline. It has a blanked-off front grille with illuminated three-pointed stars and the Mercedes-Benz logo in the centre. The LED headlights have star-shaped LED DRLs and are connected by a continuous LED light bar. The rear gets wraparound LED taillights with a light bar connecting the two.

The new CLA also has a modern interior. The dashboard is covered in massive screens, including a 14.6-inch touchscreen in the centre, a 14-inch screen on the passenger side, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

Re: Mercedes CLA Electric listed on the brand’s Indian website

Beauty is subjective, but that's one good looking car and I have always been a fan of coupe designs. I hope they bring in the hybrids as well and price this sensibly! I wonder what the ground clearance on this will be though, if I remember correctly the previous gen CLA had some GC issues.
