The Porsche Taycan facelift was launched in July last year. Until recently, the EV was only available in the 4S and Turbo variants, which are slightly more expensive at Rs 1.91 crore and Rs 2.54 crore (ex-showroom), respectively.

The Taycan RWD uses the same 105 kWh battery as the other two variants. The Performance Plus Battery delivers a range of 579-678 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle), which is significantly higher than the 4S and Turbo trims.

The single, rear-mounted electric motor powering the Taycan RWD generates 429 BHP and 420 Nm. Porsche claims that it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 230 km/h.

The Taycan RWD has fast charging capabilities up to 320 kW. As per Porsche, it takes 18 minutes to charge the battery from 10-80%. The 11 kW AC on-board charger takes 11 hours to charge the battery from 0-100%.

So now, a Porsche EV is cheaper on road when compared to the bmw i7 and a few lakhs more expensive than the Mercedes EQS sedan.
If I had the monies to spare and was in the market for an ev, I would have gotten this car in a heartbeat.

Re: 2025 Porsche Taycan RWD variant priced at Rs 1.67 crore

In some months of 2024, Porsche Taycan sales (globally) were down 50%....not only is the market for luxury EVs tiny, but also, Porsche should have probably built an electric SUV instead of a sedan (another declining segment).

The Taycan also suffers from massive depreciation. Go with your smartphone banking app and see how you can bargain the heck out of 2-year old Taycans.

It's a sweet, sweet machine...one of the best EVs on sale. Anyone would love owning & driving a Taycan. But market realities are different. Happy to see the high-end German marques licking their wounds. For way too long, they have gotten away with obscene pricing of cars & maintenance. If you consider inflation, the Taycan is now cheaper than its 2021 launch price of 1.5 crores. IMHO, it should be priced even cheaper to sell, but Porsche won't do that to the brand.

Re: 2025 Porsche Taycan RWD variant priced at Rs 1.67 crore

The Taycan is somehow appearing to be a steal, Belonging to a sports car brand, it somehow has more value than an equivalent EQS and i7 even though they are more luxurious than the Taycan.
