Porsche Cayenne EV to debut late this year

Porsche Cayenne EV to debut late this year-screenshot-20250313-11.11.09-am.png

The Porsche Cayenne electric was first announced two years ago. While the carmaker has already launched the Macan EV since then, the Cayenne EV will arrive near the end of 2025. CEO Oliver Blume confirmed that the electric SUV will debut late this year during an event on the West Coast.

The fourth generation Cayenne will be only electric, but the current gen model will continue to sell alongside it with internal combustion engines. The next-gen model will roll off the assembly lines at the same factory in Bratislava, Slovakia, where the ICE model is produced.

Porsche is not using the same strategy that it has used for the Macan. While the smaller SUV go out of production next year, the ICE-powered Cayenne will continue to sell way into the 2030s and will have V8 engines as well. Additionally, Porsche has revealed that it is planning a more affordable ICE-powered SUV, an alternative to the Cayenne.

In other news, the 718 Boxster and Cayman EVs will arrive after the Cayenne EV. Porsche is also working on a large 3-row flagship SUV. Initially announced in 2022, it will be produced in Leipzig and could feature electric and ICE powertrains.
