All things considered, I consider the current pre-update atto 3 to be a slightly better car than the creta electric. However, from my perspective, the Attos price difference is greater than the quality difference from the creta. So I am still considering both and hope BYD announces a price drop for the atto. |
Jetpack, a few things to consider:
Atto 3 is a born-electric.
Creta EV isn't.
And price-wise, I find the Atto 3 to be asking a reasonable premium for what it offers. On the other hand, I find the only thing demanding a premium for the Creta is its nameplate.
To each his own.
And no, I don't expect BYD to shut shop anytime soon. Yes, they'll face headwinds in expansion. However, they won't close down like Ford or GM.
Why?
BYD has been in India for far longer than its passenger car division. BYD partners in the production of the Olectra buses.
Therefore, we can see an Indian partner step in sooner rather than later for BYD to move on to locally built units.
Offtopic: I was told the current lot of Atto 3s are SKDs. Let me reconfirm. |
