Re: Mahindra XEV 9e vs BYD Atto 3 vs Mahindra BE 6 vs Hyundai Creta Electric vs Tata Curvv.EV vs oth

Voted for the BYD Atto 3. Even though it does not have the most power, nor the most rich in features, or is the most pleasing to look at, what I get is a sorted electric car that is properly premium, a born EV, a VFM deal, and amazing interiors.

Sure, I could have chose the BE 6 or the XEV 9E, but I feel that as well as they are received by us, the hype could die soon, and the too much electronics will always bother me.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e vs BYD Atto 3 vs Mahindra BE 6 vs Hyundai Creta Electric vs Tata Curvv.EV vs oth

I made a booking for Atto 3 after a test drive and waiting for 2025 make. In the meantime booked BE6 and took a test drive today. Honestly I am not able to decide between the two. BE6 is more powerful but I don't think I will ever need or able to use that kind of power. Atto3 power and range is adequate for most users. BE6 is loaded but my main grouse is its massive footprint has not translated into internal space and comfort! Where has all the volume gone? Apart from the restricted height, inside you feel cramped, not only in the rear seat. It doesn't feel more spacious than my Ecosport. But it is absolute VFM though many features may not have usage everyday. Atto 3 on the other hand is simple, neat and spacious for its dimensions. Drives equally well and accelerates good enough. The dynamic model price is attractive and good value. I believe it is robust and reliability will be good. Only question will be service and parts availability. So I am holding my vote till I make up my mind. Right now both are my favorites. I had driven ZS and it is not in this league. Similarly Creta is outweighed by Atto3 Dynamic in all aspects except the service network.

Not sure if I agree here. We own an Ecosport 2017 1.5D and the BE6 has much more space. The legroom and the boot space are incomparable. I’m 5’10” and I absolutely dread the backseat of Ecosport. My knees dig into the front seats more than on Indigo’s economy flight.

The boot is also incomparable. In the BE6 with the parcel tray moved a bit I can fit two big size check in luggage and two cabin luggage and have space left for a few small shoulder bags (check images in attached comment below)

The BE6 doesn’t have as good room as the Atto 3 for sure, but it isn’t comparable to sub 4m cars at all. As someone who has lived their entire life in sub 4m cars it will be a big upgrade on space.

If you need a more practical car there’s the 9E and the upcoming 7E (XUV700 based)

Here’s my comment with the pictures showing the boot and rear legroom: https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/elect...ml#post5925084 (Mahindra BE 6 Review)

Not a big fan of any of these, but imy vote goes to the BYD, for a good combination of performance, reliability and peace of mind.
Not to mention that I absolutely HATE these coupe designs, both from an aesthetic and functionality standpoint.

I would like to go with the Mahindra twin sisters , especially the BE6, the car with a unique coupe design ( a fusion of kia ev6 and cyber truck).
The BE6 has got a good range, performance (pack 3 offers 282 bhp power), futuristic features, good battery pack from BYD(the blade battery technology of BYD has already shown it's mettle).
The most important thing I like in these cars is that I heard mahindra is offering a life time warranty on battery pack(peace of mind).

Rear seat of BE6 seems like a compromise with lack of under thigh support. Rest all seems nice, but for a family it lacks that comfort factor.

Voted for Hyundai Creta Electric

I think mostly it's the Mahindra twins that would get votes here. Of course, they are good cars, but I am sceptical about Mahindra's after-sales service. Additionally, the styling of the Mahindra twins is not to everyone's taste.

On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta Electric is an all-rounder and provides a premium experience. You do get less power than the Mahindra twins, but it's got enough power to provide an enjoyable ride. It's a typical Hyundai, loaded with features and quality interiors. Additionally, Hyundai has a wider dealer and service network.

I may be wrong here. I think, the bold design of the BE6 may age more quickly compared to timeless styling of EVs like the eVitara and Creta Electric. Maruti and Hyundai have long been known for their reliability, an area where M&M and TATA are still building their reputation.
While there’s no denying that M&M has once again impressed us with their remarkable offerings, how will they stand the test of time is yet to be seen. I would pick eVitara for the same reason.

Voted others. Hyundai Ioniq 5 is the best EV in the country as of now in terms of everything.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e vs BYD Atto 3 vs Mahindra BE 6 vs Hyundai Creta Electric vs Tata Curvv.EV vs oth

Voted for Hyundai for reasons below:

1. No new Mahindra product has ever been niggle-free at launch with bullet proof reliability like some other brands listed (and not listed). Mahindra uses the first set of customers (read first 2 years) to refine the product making a guinea pig of Indian customers. Thar 3D was an example and Roxx seems to be on the same lines.

2. The design as always is overdone and the novelty will fade soon. A traditional SUV or Coupe design would have a longer life.

3. Mahindra after-sales is always a hit and miss, if one is lucky with the specific piece which misses any niggles - so too much of a chance to take when sinking 30+ big ones

4. Ioniq5 and EV6 are not listed here (and also iX1 with new pricing) which are way better and perhaps closest on size (and some stretch on price).

So the best option for me is a Hyundai in the list given their proven track record in EVs and after sales. And the whopping success of Creta ICE goes a long way to establish the design.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e vs BYD Atto 3 vs Mahindra BE 6 vs Hyundai Creta Electric vs Tata Curvv.EV vs oth

For me, the punch.ev is the best EV currently sold in the market. Mechanically sorted, perfectly sized for our ridiculously crowded cities (while somehow feeling more spacious than the nexon), enough range for trips to neighbouring cities/towns and with enough quality of life features to satisfy people.

For people living in more spacious/less crowded places - the BE6 and the Creta EV are great choices - BE6 for people who want more performance and range and are ready to deal with niggles. Creta EV for someone who takes less risks and wants a boring but good EV.

Other - Windsor. The only value for money born electric car which uses the packaging opportunity of an EV most optimally. Everything else is either impractical or a rip off in terms of price. Now just waiting for the larger battery pack.

Torn between Ioniq 5 and EV6, but would eventually pick Ionic 5. Most sorted EV cutting across segments.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e vs BYD Atto 3 vs Mahindra BE 6 vs Hyundai Creta Electric vs Tata Curvv.EV vs oth

I voted for other.

With the MG comet and Mahindra xuv 400 in my garage I feel both are VFM.

My vote is for the MG comet as a sorted and fun car for city driving. Takes a little time to get used to the quirks but the small footprint, high driving position, rear wheel drive, surprising interior space, range of 180kms, low per kilometer cost, nimbleness in crowded traffic are difficult to beat for its use case.

Voted for other.

Recently bought an XUV400 and couldn't be happier.
Love the space, style, physical buttons and the no nonsense design.
