EV that does not need conventional charging, from Zimbabwe

I'm not sure if this is the page for this post, but since it the subject seems to have gathered some traction in YouTube I felt I could post one of the write-ups here.

A Zimbabwean inventor has come up with an EV which he claims does not need any conventional charging source, but utilizes our surrounding ocean of EM waves to extract electric power from it. This power in turn drives the vehicle's motors to propel the car. He says that as long as the car is moving it will keep driving indefinitely. the expenses are only the normal wear and tear of the moving parts.

This website () is one among the many that is flooding the net on the subject.

There is nothing new as far as technology is concerned . There are attempts to power small IoT devices with EM waves including at tera hertz with quantum mechanical procedures. Its not sufficent enough and here we are talking about kilo watts.
One of mentee has a postdoc in this area.

Sounds like Gen Z Ramar Pillai.

Ramar Pillai is a great Indian inventor who made herbal petrol from water.

I remember the gentleman - he had managed to rope in the CM of the state too, till of course he was caught en flagrant delecto. I'm sure "Quantum mechanical procedures are possible at terra hertz frequencies" as PreludeSH mentions.

However, stranger things have been reported earlier too. My best wishes are with this Zimbabwean person. The world at present could do with a few miracles.

I meant they can convert power in range of nano or microwatts. This is certainly snake oil.

Another update on the Zimbabwean "free energy" car:-

Conspiracy theories, Chikumbutso's zero energy car, Nicola Tesla's wireless power transmission

Over the past couple of weeks, YouTube is spilling over with posts about the Zimbabwean inventor Maxwell Chikumbutso and his extraordinary EV that does not need any conventional charging, instead drawing energy from the surrounding ocean of EM waves in which we are drowning.

As expected both sceptics and enthusiasts are so far having a field day. Speaking for myself, I am rooting for this Zimbabwean young man - like I said in an earlier post on EVs, or world at present needs a few miracles.

Fingers crossed that this planned trip succeeds. It should satisfy the stongest critics and sceptics. I'm sure he'll take all due steps to enure no cheating and the trip must exceed the range of the latest EV on the market (!000km at least).

Somehow this reminds me of the perpetual motion machine. Does such a thing exist?

Energy harvesting as it is called in real technical jargon . It's in use already to power sensor networks and IoT deployment. Charging a car is like flux capacitor from back to the future.

Sure, it is a simple matter of violating the laws of thermodynamics. Ignorance of these laws push people to try achieving the impossible. Many inventors in the 18th-19th century basking the warmth of industrial revolution tried to violate these laws.

Lot less people try since then.
