I am thinking to buy extended warranty as well, its 2.5Lac for 3 years. 2(bmw)+3(extended) years.

Any update for your car and its status, if possible share with us. I believe BMW is covering expenses for drive train issue?

Would appreciate if the owners could share the feedback about the experience so far, range/any niggles/ issues encountered?

I have completed almost 1 month with 1k km and had two small medium distance trips. Thane/Mumbai to Alibag & Thane(250km) 50-80kmph to Panchgani/Mahabaleshwar(550km) with speed between 60-100kmph and 200km of Mumbai bumper to bumper traffic.

Based on these trips, I got around 430km of real world average. Only issue I faced till now is ground clearance and every time speed breaker comes I get that feeling of bottoming out .

I will start ownership thread soon and will share detailed information on it.

Thanks, I feel 430KMs is quite low. I am getting more than this in my xdrive variant.
I have done Bangalore-Hubli in a single charge that is almost 435Kms and still had about 35Kms range left. This is at highways speeds and I averaged 70.2KMPH on this drive.

On ground clearance, this is low compared to ICE X1. but the LWB one is more prone to hits due to it's length.

You are right, my usage contain 3-4 days of idealing time with AC ON as workshop where I sent my car for PPF didnt want to touch setting in car. Apart from that at 2 days time spent in car without moving and AC on, just siting inside and admiring car(couple of hours every other weekend/weekdays over 1 month). Doing some speed test runs etc. If I take only highway runs average will be higher side at least 500km which I saw while doing Mumbai to Panchgani. Not only that I thought using regen on highway will increase efficiency which was bad idea and that include driving 300km at least on B mode. I will calculate my recent trip data and will share range data soon.

The error came and went in 12 hours. The car is back with me and performing flawlessly. But as per BMW both motors will have to be opened and "repaired". They have ordered the parts and will inform me when to send the car.

Has been avid reader of this thread and finally booked one at Deutsche Motoren, Bengaluru. SA has mentioned wait of ~3 months. I feel that would be the best case as this model has generated lot of interest off lately.

Re: 2025 BMW iX1 LWB (U12) Review

95k as vehicle preparation charge was included in the booking receipt I received. A bit worried now hearing about the issue with ground clearance and absence of motor warranty (after 2 years)

Re: 2025 BMW iX1 LWB (U12) Review

They have not quoted it in the quote I have received. Must be hidden in RTO and insurance charges (not mentioned explicitly). Will check with SA and keep posted as I am hearing a revised pricing starting April.

Was VPC included in original quote or came at the time of invoicing?

VPC was on original quote and charged me 75k + 10k as RTO charges

Motor issue may be or may not be issue for all(Hopefully).

I am more worried about ground clearance than motor warranty. As ground clearance is issue and it happens very frequently if you go over speed over more than 5kmph. I am not even talking about big speed breakers but normal once which are little taller. So now I have to literally slow down like sedan and yes I checked tire pressure and its as recommended by BMW.

Got it. In Bengaluru, we have 10% RTO on EV above 25L. So that is already added. I don't think VPC is included. Cars land in Chennai. So, maybe they are being generous to not include for Bengaluru

Booked the skyscraper grey on Jan 31st. I was informed to expect delivery sometime in the month of August. Did you get any bill/receipt for the booking? I only received a mail with no booking/order number. Posting this here since I'm unable to reply to private messages due to membership restrictions.

Got the delivery a month back for Black Colour. I'm based in Delhi and with AC on, the range is around 420-430. It consumes 15-16 KwH/100kms.
