BMW iX LCI officially presented

The new BMW iX is a luxury electric SUV with increased range and performance. It reaches up to 700 km WLTP and features efficiency improvements thanks to the optimisation of the propulsion and battery system. It will be offered in three versions: iX xDrive45 (408 hp), iX xDrive60 (544 hp) and iX M70 xDrive (659 hp), with accelerations from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 s, 4.6 s and 3.8 s, respectively.

The exterior design has been refreshed with a redesigned grille, new headlights and the optional M Sport Package. Inside, it combines luxury and technology with BMW iDrive 8.5, advanced driving assistants and new trim options. Its fast charging improves up to 195 kW, optimizing charging times.

It will launch in spring 2025, with production at the Dingolfing plant and a focus on key markets such as the US, UK and Germany.

The kidney grill looks more like an apple and sometimes a heart symbol.

All people want is a car which gives a range of at least 600kms on highways irrespective of the speeds(of course withing 120 kmph max) but doing this will mean a bigger battery and longer charging times and this wont change unless they are able to extract more kms/kWh.

The iX has been one of the many controversial models introduced by BMW over the last years. More than 4 years later, BMW can say that the controversy was worth it. BMW has sold more than 130k units, ahead of Audi Q8 e-tron, Mercedes EQE SUV.
