Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

We welcomed home Ocean Blue Creta EV home earlier this week.

Driven 183 km with average efficiency of 8.4 km/kwh, this is with AC on (auto 22), mostly 2 passengers , sometimes 3 and a dog.

Recent trip from Delhi to Faridabad in early morning traffic with bits and pieces of sports mode.

Congrats and welcome to the club.
Is this your first electric Car? You are already getting really good efficiency, but will get even more once you get familiar with the car and EV style of driving.

Thanks! Yes this is our first EV though I have driven Tesla, Mercedes and Kia/Hyundai/Genesis E-GMP cars for around 10k miles in the US. I always found the Hyundai cars to be much more efficient for my driving style (of course Tesla self driving is on another level but that's not coming anytime soon on our traffic). So far happy with the purchase.

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Just touched 400+(again) on my creta ev after a full charge. I can theoretically top the claimed range as there is 17% battery remaining.

It's great the range numbers you've been getting. I wanted to ask you, what do you think about the wind noise at 80+ speeds ?

I felt on my first test drive car it wind noise was a little pronounced. then I tried a second creta ev, on this one the wind noise was even worse. Some people online like motorinc have also mentioned it. I would be replacing a jeep compass with this car and the Jeep has pretty good sound insulation so it's important for me. I also live on an expressway so I go above 80 every single day.

I do not find the wind noise to be better or worse than my previous electric cars. I usually drive with music/podcast on, and i do not find the wind noise to be troublesome to enjoy my drive and music. My comet on other hand has terrible cabin insulation, it almost feel like aircraft taking off during acceleration

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Drove the creta in 2 different styles.
1. Sedately in gurgaon light to medium traffic but bad roads slowing me down . Getting 10.4 km/kwh.
2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review-img_20250316_184653.jpg
2. Expressway with speeds around 100-120 with tolls and diversion in between reducing the average speed. Getting efficiency of 7.1 . I expect this to be close simulation of my typical highway runs. I think at constant 110 efficiency would be ~6.4 (dependent on temperatures, wind, etc)

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Hi, can anyone share what sort of year end deals or discounts they are getting on Creta EV? Any discounts already or none similar to Petrol/Diesel versions? Thanks!

Creta EV has absolutely zero discounts, first of all, it was launched two months ago, and you are expecting discounts? If the car turns out to be a dud, then there may be discounts. But 2 months is too short a time frame for any manufacturer to judge the success of a product, unless it is an absolute disaster and not at all selling. So, if you feel the Creta EV wont sell well, wait a bit as Hyundai may start providing discounts down the road.

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

I enquired from Bangalore 15 days ago, but the price is on higher side for me. Today received an Whatsapp indicating increase from April onwards (which maybe based on bookings or just tactics). Either way not a time to ask discount as it is a new launch. But not in my price bracket so not going ahead. Windsor mostly.

There is no way a brand like Hyundai is going to give discount for a car 2 months after launch. The only thing free i got with my car is a pair of mat and mud flaps. Many states have bumped the registration charges for electric cars which is also going live in April (5% increase in Kerala).
Did you check out short range version of the car? There is no comparison between efficiency of MG and Hyundai car, you probably will get range closer to advertised range in a Creta, but windsor is less than 250km range car.

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Done my first service today. I was given a Zero amount bill. Next Service is at 10k or 1 year. The service interval seems every 1 year or 10k KM

Agree on the discount part. Highly unlikely, as I mentioned earlier, but over a period of time possible consolidation based on response and numbers.

On this passionate reply I respectfully not fully agree. The MG quoted numbers have been much more stable and closer to the claimed range, compared to all other manufacturers' (be it Tata or Mahindra claiming 421 or 400+ but shying and giving 190 or so in real world driving with Nexon,
XUV400, Punch) while MG's range has been within 10% of the claimed range give or take the driving style of the user.

Of course, I have been a fan of all the EVs, starting from Nexon, even XUV400 (would have bought if it were not for the NMC, and many posts on TeamBHP stating its now almost a dated model so better to wait). The Punch itslef is my second option (because I don't like the headroom / claustrophobic in Nexon/Curve with my height).

It is rather good for us consumers (without biasing with any one manufacturere) that we are getting all these options, and the EV space is evolving soo fast and become competitive with entry of (Tata LR, LR+ models Punch and Windsor) and even Creta electric with higher KW battery and efficiency. It is certainly all good!

Ofcourse it also all depends on your own likings/choices and needs. People are very happy with Curvv too, which will be difficult for my height in Coupe design. I TD the Mahindra 6E and it is a marvelous vehicle, especially if I were looking for sporty but rather stiff suspension setup (and even more when I was a bachelor long ago).

For me, (and such evaluations probably never ever die) for a family vehicle with a total out-of-segment luxury that Windsor provides (on a born-EV platform, not a battery cramped under seats that cause you to sit in an awkward position - imagine for long drives albeit those 50KW batteries or 400KM ranges) I still probably/personally prefer buying the top variant of Windsor instead adding another 3L to get the lowest variant of Creta or Mahindra 6E (out of which I would still prefer Mahindra for the game changing introduction), humbly.

As a Windsor owner my experience with the car has been fantastic in terms of range. On a full charge the cluster shows a claimed range of 320kms for a 38KWH battery pack which itself is a 8.42km/KW. So yes, this car isn't as efficient as the CRETA EV. Users in the forum are averaging 9-10Km/KW, which is superb. I get a range of anywhere between 290-310kms on Eco mode with AC and other things ON. This is around 7.7km - 8km/KW and very close to the claimed range of 320kms.
