Skoda Enyaq facelift globally unveiled; Now offers almost 600 km of range

Skoda Auto has unveiled the facelift version of its all-electric SUV, the Enyaq. The Skoda Enyaq facelift continues to be offered in SUV and Coupe-SUV versions, both of which now come with a bunch of updates inside and out.

Starting with the exterior, the new Skoda Enyaq facelift adopts the brand's latest Modern Solid design language. The Enyaq facelift now features a new "SKODA" lettering on the bonnet, split LED headlights with four segmented LEDs for the DRLs and C-shaped LED tail lights. There are also a bunch of aerodynamic updates, including an optimised lower section on the bumpers.

The Coupe-SUV version also carries forward the same changes, but additionally features a sloping roofline, body-coloured side skirts and 19-21 inch alloy wheels. Skoda claims that the drag coefficient of the facelifted SUV has reduced to 0.245 Cd, while that of the Coupe-SUV version is 0.225 Cd.

Moving inside, the facelift Enyaq now gets 'SKODA' lettering on the steering wheel, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, a 5-inch digital driver's display and an optional head-up display. The model also features a panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable & heated front seats, 3-zone climate control and eco-friendly upholstery all around the cabin.

The Skoda Enyaq SUV and Coupe-SUV carry forward the same powertrain options, albeit upgraded for better range. The new version of the Enyaq 85 SUV, with the 77 kW battery, now offers 588 km of range, while the Coupe-SUV is capable of 597 km on a single charge. The lower variants with the smaller 59 kW battery offer 431 km and 439 km of range on the SUV and Coupe-SUV versions, respectively.

The design refresh is very good. Makes a big difference to the front end which, in the current design, seems a bit fussy to me. The Enyaq 85, I suspect, will be quite expensive.
Somebody I know was on the configurator looking at one some months ago and the top spec reached Mercedes prices. This, for a Skoda, is quite pricey given that it is supposed to be at the budget end of the VW Family tree.
