Kia Syros EV India launch in early 2026 The Kia Syros recently made its global debut in India. The compact SUV will be initially offered with a 1.0L petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine. However, a pure electric version is also in the works. According to the company, the Syros EV will be launched in India between January and March 2026.
The Kia Syros EV will be based on the K1 platform, which it shares with the Hyundai Inster EV. It will come with a single electric motor powering the front axle.
While the exact technical details are unclear, the Syros EV might get the same battery options as the Inster EV. These include 42 kWh and 49 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt batteries that are said to offer a range of 300 km and 355 km (WLTP cycle), respectively.
In India, the Syros EV will compete with the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400. Its overall styling could be similar to the ICE version, albeit with minor tweaks.
The Syros EV is expected to be feature-packed just like the ICE version, which has segment-first sliding, reclining, and ventilated rear seats, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS.
